Sorrento (pronounced [sorˈrɛnto]; Neapolitan: Surriento [surˈrjendə]) is a town overlooking the Bay of Naples in Southern Italy. A popular tourist destination due to its variety of small antique shops and location on the Amalfi Coast, it can be reached easily from Naples and Pompeii as it is at the south-eastern end of the Circumvesuviana rail line. The town is most commonly known for its small shops selling an arrangement of ceramics, lacework and marquetry (woodwork).

We joined a tour through this agent and they gave us only few directly to get to the meeting point, and they told us by the daily cruise we can swim and snorkel but turn over theres no place for swimmer and snorkeler, after some of us argued with their people they finally dropped us in the middle of the sea and tell us to swim, where has nothing to watch, and also the snorkelling goggles are old and dirty! And they called us back in five minutes then we head back to the coast. To me this tour is more like a fraud over a cruise , worst experience ever
Travel help right next to the circumvesuviana train station. The ladies were incredibly sweet and helpful for all our travel and tourist questions!
2nd September 2017. Went on the Pompeii Walking Tour. Our guide was Roberto. His knowledge of the site and its history was impressive. He made, what would otherwise have been nothing more than a walk amongst old ruins, into the most interesting 2 hours of our holiday so far. Well done Roberto, what good value for money.
Gave us the summer timetable instead of wintetbone so we missed our boat...
We booked the Amalfi last minute drive. Good value compared to other tour operators & Thomson own tours. Times are a lot better as left the central train/bus station at 11AM and returned around 6PM. The guide was very informative and provided a lot of information during the day. Had over an hour in Positano which is not on all the Amalfi tour trips offered by others and we felt Positano was definitely worth the visit. We had 2 hours in Amalfi and did the optional 45min boat trip. Enough time to get a good impression of the Amalfi coast from the sea if you do not wish to do a dedicated boat trip. Overall a brilliant day
