So I went to Adam lookout. The building is nice inside with a really nice bar/restaurant area. We went on the swing which was so fun! Would definitely recommend the swing and it wasn't too nerve racking. They don't take professional pics of you on the swing, so make sure you give your phone to the employee who is attending the swing so they can take pics for you! Also, we made sure we got there before sunset and went on the swing when the sun was setting- that's when the views are amazing.
Really classy and cool Restaurant. Would recommend you take your loved ones if you want to propose, celebrate your anniversary or without reason sometimes. You will thank me later. The Swing and the Restaurant is all that you should care for. Swing is so cool you will swing in one out off the roof of the building. The Swing duration is very less though, it's for 2-3 min for 10 euros per person. Still worth going. The Restaurant has an amazing view of docks. It has a romantic setting really recommend for couples. They have limited seating so make sure you have a booking before you go. If not they would still let you order from the bar for some drinks and short eats.
We booked the Rock the City ticket so it included the A'DAM lookout, the boats tour to/from Heineken Experience and the Experience itself. It was really worth the money. It took us at least 5-6 hours to do everything. A'DAM lookout was a great starting point, especially when the weather is nice. We had a great time, some friends did the swing which was great as well. Fast lines! Also the prices at the bar were fine!
Very organized staff and the view is incredible. The sling is amazing, but could be a few more minutes. Maybe they could start booking time slots on the tickets so we could enjoy the view and sling with no queues. A place to come back for sure.
Love it! Great view, the swing is nice to visit once, the interactive museum of Amsterdam is very interesting. The entrence fee is somewhat high. Prices at the bar are also on the higher end. But the cocktails are delicious, the view is great and there is nice lounge music playing. Good place for Friday night drinks with friends or a romantic dinner.
The best view in Amsterdam. That's obvious. I was there at Saturday night for a drink. It was 2 am and trust me it was enjoyable like a visit to a dentist. The worst music ever in 15 years I live in Holland. Music from the 60-70 and very few people ( nobody can resist that music for more than 1 hour anyway) . Put some damn deep house or modern danceable music for God's sake. You have the best place in Amsterdam this place should be busy like any roof bar in London. Fire the manager and make it a cool place. Call me for free advice .
We visited the tower as part of a package with the Heineken Experience, and a boat trip. Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy when we were there but the view was still stunning. You can swing on a swing above the river. And there is a restaurant and bar at the top. The lift itself is quite a thrill. And don't miss the Throne of Gibson Guitars on the ground floor.
The building alone is a beauty to behold, very unusual with the 'twisted' look going on. The elevator to take you to the top floor is mind blowing, they have a huge light show and audio track to immerse you in the journey up to the top floor. The views are second to none, it commands a panorama of the whole of Amsterdam. The sky swing is a very fun part of the experience where you can dangle over the edge of the building, however this can get quite busy so expect to wait atleast 30 minutes. The bar is jaw dropping too, especially with the views.
What a fun place. To get there you take a free ferry from Central Station. As you get off the ferry beware of the bicyclists whom, like everywhere in Amsterdam, own the road. The lookout provides wonderful 20th floor vistas of Amsterdam and has some fun interactive exhibits. We didn't do the swing because it's not my wife's cup of tea but it looked like fun.
Quite expensive but definitely worth the extra €5 to go on the swing!! What a view really enjoyed the elevator ride up to the top they put on a light show. Just be warned its a cashless building so you have to pay for everything on card including the gift shop. Especially enjoyed the interactive screens on the inside level they are movable and show you exactly what you are looking at, you can change them from day to night and old world.
Loved the view so much! We got there taking the free ferry from Central station. Just be sure to get the left one, because we got the one from the right and had to walk for 15 minutes to get there. We bought the tickets online and had no problems getting in it, no line. Although I should say we got there kind of late at 6pm. But the building only closes at 8pm so it's ok. Also was great to see everything sunny and then the sunset and then the lights from Amsterdam night. My girlfriend didn't want to go on the swing but I think it would be worth it, looks pretty cool. I want to go back there and have dinner at the revolving restaurant when I get time and money. Because if the tickets were already pricey I can't even imagine how it will be to have dinner there.
This was our first stop when arriving in Amsterdam. What a place to be! €12.50 gets you up the tower in the most amazing lift ride I have ever been in; demonstrating a light show through the glass lift all the way up. Once you are at the top there is the A'DAM Over The Edge experience available (*prior purchase recommended as you have to select time slots for your ride as they say, over the edge) this will cost €5.00 per adult for about a 10 minute swing over the edge of the tower. After this there is a roof top bar to enjoy classic Heineken Beer and other goodies along with the amazing view of Amsterdam. We went on a perfect day!
Very nice trendy hotel, apartments and touristy fun! There are pictures to be had in front of the I am Amsterdam letters, then when your done with that, head inside an buy your tickets to the lookout and the rooftop swing. The views are amazing. There is a rooftop bar with seating, several red cushions on the ground so you can relax. They also play music, so you can just chill and enjoy the ambiance. The restaurant is below the lookout, did not have a chance to eat, but the food smelled amazing.
Very cool in winter. It was pretty empty when I visited in December during the snow. Which meant no queue for the cafe and a great view all to myself. I loved that the boat across is free ( unheard of in the UK) and I think the rooftol view and swing would be such fun in summer. Recommend it if you like a good view although a lot of city centre hotels probably have roof terraces with no entrance fee
Unexpectedly nice place, even for locals, to hangout on the roof. There's a bar and a great view of Amsterdam and nearby cities. If you are at the right time you may even catch a beautiful sunset. Not recommended to visit when it's raining. On an nice day, you can easily spend a few hours here which makes it worth the money.
Great views of the city. However, Card only - Was limited to the two 250ml drinks included in ticket and, as well as this, was unable to go on swing. There was no warning of this beforehand and, as a result, I only brought cash. This reduced the amount of time we were willing to spend in, what was otherwise, a great location for some drinks/food. Thankfully, the city is full of beautiful places.
Amazing tower - very cool and informative with some amazing views. The price for two of us included 2 drinks each and the staff made it very fun with photographs. The barman however was very rude when I asked for clarification on which drinks were included which is the only reason this is not 5 stars. Definitely recommend nonetheless!
It’s a wonderful place to be. You can see the whole Amsterdam from top. It has 2 floor; Top one is open. Windy -nice on a sunny day. It has a swing, probably world’s highest open swing. Have fun with that for 5 Euro. It’s pretty safe with a lot of safety measures. The floor below is close with a formal eating place. Good service, good food with great view. The day we visited the main life was out of order.
A nice view over Amsterdam. It's not in the "center" of the city, but it's very easy to get to with the ferry that goes every few minutes from the nearby station. The tower has drinks outside on the rooftop and inside on the highest floor. Not that expensive, so would recommend you to go if you want the best view over Amsterdam.
Truly an amazing addition to the Amsterdam experience. Located just on the waters of the north shore you get a truly breathtaking view of the entire Amsterdam skyline. A short ferry ride from Central Station the A'DAM Lookout is a must visit spot while in Amsterdam. The renovation of this older building is quite remarkable and will be a top tourist attraction for years to come.
Great lookout point with plenty of information and free to use binoculars. We visited on a Sunday in the August high season but even then it wasn't terribly busy up at the deck. The top deck has a very bar/lounge feel to it, with places to relax as well as enjoy the view on all sides. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase as well. The gift shop has some interesting items and is worth taking a look at. Carries more than the thirteen in a dozen plastic trinkets often seen around Amsterdam shops.
SUPER AMAZING EXPERIENCE, even for a local like me I was surprised. The view on top is really amazing and totally safe. The top deck has a bar, and some big pillows to chill out on. There are nets surrounding the area so you can safely look over Amsterdam and area. There is even an electric swing for which the tickets need to be purchased before at the entrance. The deck closes at 2200 PM and entrance at 2100. But from 2130 you can get entrance to the sky bar, from which you can walk up to the lookout deck. This last entrance is through the reception of the hotel inside and totally free. Have a drink at the sky bar after 2200 to enjoy the sunset until the line to the elevator is gone.
Nice place to visit. In Amsterdam, you should not miss A'DAM Lookout. Take a combo from Heineken - Heineken entrance ticket + Heineken boat transport + A'DAM Lookout - is a super combo pack. Also you will get nice photos from A'DAM Lookout taken by the team over there. The lift which takes us from ground floor to upstairs is an amazing experience to see and watch out. Also from the top it's a scenic beauty and you can spend nice time in that place without getting bored.
The view is awesome. We visited during sunset which I would highly recommend. When using the I Amsterdam city card you can only get the 25% off on the regular ticket. If you don't have the card I would recommend the premium ticket and staying for a while, you get 2 drinks and a bottle opener for 6€,which considering Amsterdam beverage prices is a great deal. On the look out there are a bunch of beanbags and benches to sit on and enjoy the view with a drink.
From the top of this tower you get amazing views of the city. If you buy the drinks package you get two drinks included. So relaxing just sitting there wine in hand watching the boats on the river below. If you're feeling in need of an adrenaline rush try the swing. Swing out from the top of the building. Scary for me, exhilarating for others
