More fun than most tours! I wasn't expecting something crazy but it definitely exceeded what I was thinking it would be. I bought the tour at a touring shop so it was at a discount but the factory was well equipped with interactive things to do and information that doesn't overwhelm and bore you. A lot at the end was sort of a gimmick but you get that, more, and two beers at the end! Would definitely recommend.

As suggested by many we took the Rock the City tickets. It's definitely worth it, keep in mind that the cruise always leaves on time so make sure you reach there like 2 hours before the cruise time. That way you can peacefully go through the Heineken Experience and have enough time to have your 2 free beers at the end. They also give cool merchandise as gifts mostly bottle openers. The gift shop below is also good and decently priced.

A must see in Amsterdam. There was a long queue outside so I recommend buying tickets online so you can skip the line. Inside you can taste beer for free and on the top you can get two beers from the badges that will be on the wristband that you will be given if you are allowed to drink alcohol. There is a fantastic view where you can see Amsterdam rooftops. Overall great experience visiting this place. The tour guides are friendly and always ready to help and answer the questions you have.

A really fun place to visit. The queue can be hours long but actually quite worth the price. You get to try some beer, learn about the history and the factory as well as going to the rooftop bar and getting a nice view of the city. Staff are very friendly and kind. They are more than happy to help and the tour takes around 45 mins and is a lot of fun. Can easily spend a couple of hours here. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city. BUT also recommend buying tickets in advance so you can avoid the long queue

Heineken no longer produces beer at this facility and because of that they've tried to make many interactive displays to make up for the lack of beer making activities. In my opinion they're cheesy and not very interesting, though you do get to learn a bit during the tour and they have a fun tasting room. I wish they also offer some of the other beers sold by Heineken International instead of just their pale ale Heineken. For 16 euros it was an entertaining enough diversion.

OK. First off, there are two different tours. The cheaper one is a self-guided tour. I chose the more expensive VIP tour which is a little more than double the price of the self guided one. It was worth the price. First off, the guide was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. She told us the history of the Heineken family and the brewery. She took us to the brewing kettles and explained how the four step brewing process. We visited the banquet and meeting facilities that is rented out and then went up to the roof for a pretty good view of Amsterdam. It was rainy and gray, but still nice. We finished off the tour with a 5 beer and 5 cheese tasting. And these were decent sized beers. We were all feeling the effects at the end. :) During the tasting, we received an personalized engraved bottle of Heineken. At the end, we could go on to the standard Heineken experience. That looked OK, but it seemed to be geared to a more younger crowd

What’s not to like? Creatively presented, friendly, knowledgeable staff and really rather excellent lager. No complaints here, though pint glasses would have earned it an extra star (the glasses they provide are laughably small). I am British, however, so culturally biased.

It was a fantastic place to visit however it didn't feel like the staff had much heart for it. They were all very friendly but when going to the bar at the end of the experience after being shown how to pour the perfect pint they were rushed off their feet as there were 2 staff behind the bar with a huge line of people to get through and in result the drinks that you got were nearly half foam as they were just rushing them out. The bar smelt amazing however the toilets were unclean. But I would still go back and still enjoyed it.

This is a great place if you are a beer lover. You get to taste a few glasses of freshly brewed beer and get to see how the beer is made, in a very interactive way. After the tour, you get to drink a glass of beer on top of the factory, with a brilliant view of the beautiful Amsterdam. As an advice, book it as in advance as you can, because it gets very busy

This is a must visit place in Amsterdam. While the tour itself is educational, I love the way they teach stuff with the experience centres, 3D holograms, animated videos and taster sessions. Coupled with the canal cruise and entry to ADAMs lookout (ask for combo ticket), this is the best you can get out of 3 hrs at Amsterdam.

Good if you’re a fan of the Heineken brand, but nothing special if you’re not. I personally like brewery tours and have been on quite both in the U.S. and internationally. The Heineken Experience was only loosely organized around introducing the story behind the beer and the brewing process. I kept waiting for the tour to start, but realized halfway through that following the crowd through various rooms with info on the walls WAS the tour. It tells you about the brand, how it started, how it was marketed, touches on the brewing philosophy and method, and you get to see some of the cart horses. It also includes a number of rooms with technology-based experiences — like karaoke, video dance-offs, or kicking a football in a stadium — all pushing the brand. It reminded me of an upscale amusement park or fun house. If you wanted, you could probably spend a couple hours here, but can also make it through in about 30 minutes. At the end of the tour you get a couple glasses of Heineken in a bar area that reminded me of the types of places I try to avoid back home. Would I recommend it? Not really, unless you’re a huge Heineken fan. Would I go again? Probably not.

A great place to go on a rainy day. There are quite a few rooms and a pretty large tour. It will take you a couple of hours to walk through. They did some upgrades recently and they have a pretty impressive light and video show. They have a nice bar towards the end and it can be fun to do the beer pouring challenge. All in all a great experience

One of the best brewery tours I’ve been on. Very interactive and you can create your own customized bottle of Heineken beer at the end of the tour. This is great to give as a gift to someone who loves beer. I wish they would provide more beer during the tour however. I understand they don’t want people to get drunk, but the beer is so light

Great way to spend a few hours. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The actual place was really amazing too and great to see what goes on. At the end there is a part where you can see if you can pour your own Heineken which was really entertaining. There's also options to have drinks that aren't alcoholic.

What a great experience. I signed up for the VIP treatment and I definitely felt like a VIP. We were able to get to go to areas others were not able to get to such as up close to the horses, as well as the private bar where you get to drink 5 beers on top of the two that regular admittance gets. Erik was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and patient with our group. Great job Erik! You definitely deserve a raise.

Awesome tour! We did the explore Amsterdam tour which included the Heineken experience, a boat tour, and the ADAM tower. It was well worth the money. We got three free beers each with the tour and they clearly out a lot of work into making the tour a full experience. However, it is quite superficial if you are looking for something more in depth. The boat tour was relaxing but not a lot of information was given about the city during the trip. The tower was worth checking out and there is a free ferry to get back across. The trip is one way from the Heineken experience to the tower or vice versa.

Interesting and entertaining. Recommend to purchase ticket online since the line is incredibly long. Good place to learn about beer producing and how Heineken started the business to current one of biggest beer maker in the world. Attraction includes entertaining games and audio visual interactive. Also name yourself customized bottle for souvenir. Visitor is complimented with 2 glasses of beer.

Quite an interesting place to visit. Quite informative and funny setting ups throughout my self tour. Can easily spend an hour. But really disappointed about the beer in the bar, it is only the normal Heineken beer that you can get in any bar in Amsterdam or around the world. Instead, they can provide something new, like their new H41(or H21?) lager. Their souvenir shop is nice, have some really good and exclusive stuffs that you can only get from there. But then at the end, i guess this is for big fans of Heineken or if you know nothing about beer before. I would rather spend the money and time to enjoy some nice beers in one of the local bars in Amsterdam.

Would give 6 stars if google would allow, as exceeded my already high expectations. Really enjoyed the mix of the old with the new, with the tour starting with the Heineken history. Then moving onto really cool almost theme park stuff for the second half which our kids really enjoyed. The free beer at the end of course a highlight, as every reviewer seems to note including this one.
Glenn L | יולי 5, 2018
First half about the history and seeing the old copper kettles was interesting but the second half got weird. More like a Disney attraction than a brewery tour. Don't expect much information on how the beer is brewed. One guide showing us the hops could not tell us the variety of used.
Smokers Guide Products | יולי 4, 2018
IMHO it used to be better when it was a proper tour led by a curator or guide. In those days it was intimate and you would event receive a special Delft Heineken stein if you attended on your birthday! Now it's incredibly high volume crowds, fairly self serve, and become a bit more commercial.... resulting in all of the visitors we've taken walking out feeling like they were brainwashed by one longgggg Heineken advert! Keep improving Heineken, you're certainly raking in the money!

It’s a tour that lets you feel at times like you’re living in a beer commercial. It’s defiantly worth the time if you have it to spare and it’s not what I expected it to be, a very new and hip interpretation of a tour and museum. Your ticket gets you two free beers at the end and also another small beer in about halfway through the tour. It’s a pretty self aggrandizing tour but it is their place and that is to be expected. Takes about an hour and a half in total.
Rebecca Herrera | אוג׳ 3, 2018
Definitely and experience. Brewery tour doesn’t begin to describe this; they’ve done a good job with the word experience. It’s 21€ per adult including two beers at the end, three in total. The history is interesting, the guides are very obviously having a fabulous time, the video and games and interactive-ness is just out of this world. We had a great time and I’d recommend it for sure.

It is a good place to visit if you want to know how Heineken Beer is made. They explain the entire process very well. Right from the collection of hops, to cleaning, adding their secret microorganism, fermentation, purification, and so on till the bottling process. They also have a place where they exhibit the history of Heineken beer bottles and the logo and how they have changed since its inception. Way to go Mr Heineken! Then we move on to a room where they tell us how to pour and serve beer the right way and how to drink it up in the right kind of glass. After this session, you do get a glass or two of freshly brewed beer. They also have a merchandise counter which has good stuff especially for a bar decor enthusiast. The best thing there was a customised bottle of Heineken beer with real beer in it. You can get your names or anything on the bottle imprinted. All in all, a good experience at Heineken Experience, Amsterdam.

Pretty neat thing to do. I felt like I was in a commercial for about an hour. But not in a bad way? If you enjoy their brews you'll enjoy yourself. Otherwise it's a decent time with some ''free" beers along the way.
