Hotel and staff were excellent. Concierge and bell hops were especially friendly and helpful - booking us several dinners and a private canal cruise for our 15-person party. Breakfast buffet and vault bar are very nice too. Hotel is perfectly located for easy walking to Old Town area or museum district.

Amsterdam has become one of my favorite destinations, not only because of its artistic heritage, beautiful canals and unique architecture but for its exceptional hospitality, and Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam makes the perfect example of how finest service should be. The hotel is located at less than 15 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and you can find very convenient transportation to it or if you prefer to have your own, like in my case, you can easily rent a car. Just be aware that Amsterdam is a city with thousands of bicycle riders so you have to be very careful while you drive. As soon as you arrive to the property you can see and feel the difference in its service, the staff is ready to welcome you with a big smile and prepared to help you with any need that you may have. From open the doors for you, having an umbrella ready to borrow you if it is raining outside or just get water for you, the staff will always be ready to help you. One of the first things that bring your attention is the beautiful Peacock Alley, a lounge located in the heart of the hotel's lobby where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. A place to see and be seen. You can also be treated with an all day assortment of delicate sweets on the centered marble table, of course with their amazing an unique service. Enjoy genuine great food and wine at Goldfinch Brasserie a modern venue with views over the private garden, with the exceptional cuisine of Executive Chef Sidney Schutte & Sous-Chef Tomas Bron. Another great treat of this amazing hotel is the room service, you can get great food 24 hrs a day. My favorites? The burger and the caviar. In conclusion, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is the place to stay in Amsterdam if you want to have the best Dutch service in an excellent location, definitely a Luxury Travel Experience.

We went here for High Tea on the weekend. The service was so nice, the food was incredible. The hotel was gorgeous! Can't wait to come back.

Room service food AWFUL! Its supposed to be a 2 star Michelin restaurant but I can't believe the room service menu is the same. It was really bad. Service at the buffet breakfast, .... no-one offered me any hot beverage. I could have eaten the buffet and left with no-one acknowledging me. I even asked if I could get a 4-top table and the girl said let me ask my colleague and never came back to me. I waited and sat my self, helped myself to buffet. (There was an attached dining I could have sat in and no-one pointed out which I noticed the next day). 4 times called to get room service to remove table. But, the rooms are great! View and location spectacular on the canal! Staff very nice.

Had a chance to admire the public areas of the Waldorf Astoria thanks to the friendly doorman. Indeed a very elegant and in some ways even restrained style. Plenty of room for the guests to move around. Highly reputational restaurant on board (Librije’s Sister). Pleasant bar and beautifully ornamented dining room. Lovely inner gardens with gas fireplaces for a chilly evenings. Overall highly attractive, sure to organize a stay in the low season when prices are more reasonable.
