Beautiful beach. Very calm. Great to have a walk and see the sun coming down. The sand is soft and not very deep. We loved it
Great busy little town, lots of small shops and cafes, beautiful views ovef the ocean and spectacular sunsets. You can book the longboats here to go to the outlying islands, notably Krabi. Bear in mind you have wade into the ocean to get into and out of of the long boats. Take your mobile out of your pickets...freak waves will come out of the blue and soak you. Great cafes and restaurants for multi national meals, predominantly Indian cuisine, reasonably priced, but varying degrees of authenticity. Good place to visit.
Amazing beach in the city. Outstanding view on islands on the opposite side make you feel like in tropical paradise. Sea temperature is quite high. The only thing which made me angry for some time was amount of litter there. However you'll love it there. It's surrounded by city centre.
Beautiful view of sunset. Beach had clay sand, but was not sticking to feet. Beach slope had a gradual gradient. We could go into the water. It is on one side of the main road, and is opposite to market area.
This is a nice little strip of beach that more quiet and low key. I went when it was drizzling and so I can't comment on the normal foot traffic. There was also a trail at one end that I didn't get to explore but looked like it would be fun to check out. Lots of food and shopping near by as well
This area was so cool I almost don't want to blow up the spot by yammering about how cool it is. But honestly do see it, it's wonderful. I highly reccomend renting a kayak and exploring the whole area that way. Despite being a tourist area you can rent a one or two person kayak for a very reasonable price. Lots too see in the surrounding area for sure.
Best place to chill in Krabi. Lovely beach and quiet place! Lovely beach where you can chill and enjoy some quiet time. This is where all the boats for the Island tours leave and where they dock. It is right by the main market street in Krabi so it's easy to catch a tuktuk to this beach or get one back to your hostel. The weather here is very good and you don't have too many people troubling you.
One very long street of vendors, bars, massage and restaurants. Very few places have AC. Be prepared to suffocate from heat mid day. I'd recued going early or late if you are sensitive to 100 degree weather in direct sunlight. We did catch an incredible sunset there which gives it the 3 stars.
Beautiful, Magnificent Landscape. The first view itself is mind blowing. The place is clean with a whole lot of stores, and amenities close by. The gamut of touristy shops, selling everything from souvenirs to umbrellas to local food delicacies. The Coconut Ice-cream and mango sticky rice is a delicacy for the vegetarians. Bars and the music scene picking up at night. Choice abundnant for pure veg and vegan lovers too now with Govindas open too... Massage parlours offering value for money services..
Busy beach with many tourists. Uncountable long tail boats leave from here to the nearby islands - rather noisy. The beach is quite clean though and there are great views over the islands and sand stone cliffs. Half of the esplanade is a walking street with (rather pricey) restaurants and massage parlours whose owners approach every person passing. At the other half, there are shops (including tailor shops) and also restaurants.
Still a nice long beach, full of restaurants and bars, but not the best one in Krabi area for sure. Try to get to the north side of you're looking for some privacy and snorkeling area. Do not swim in the canal where boats head to the inside laguna, it's forbidden and dangerous! Try to avoid low tide too otherwise you'll have to walk a lot to reach a satisfying water depth. With low tide you can walk to the small island in the north side witch become a peninsula. If you go early in the morning you'll have a better chance to find a shady place to stay.
The beach itself isn't the nicest of all in Krabi. For whiter sand and clearer waters head over to Railley Beach which is 400 baht return per person and is much more scenic and good for a bit of snorkeling. What this strip of beach does offer is a variety of restaurants and bars thriving with tourists. For nightlife it is a good place to be.
This beach is located nearby the vibrant street life. However there are many sellers which are trying your patience every 10 minutes. The beach has yellow sand and not much rocks. The water quality is mediocre. Compared with Phi Phi or other Thai beaches this beach is nothing special.
Nice beach. Lots of people. But beautiful sunsets and nice water. The mix of nightlife, food and beach is a great combination for a good atmosphere. Grab some coconut ice cream and enjoy the sunset.
It was a nice visit. We were there only for 2 days so could not see whole place but was a very nice stay. Had a good shopping area, massage, beach and connection to other nearby beaches and islands. We had a good time.
View of the islands far off is breathtaking. This beach is nice to walk. The shops and restaurants along the beach make this area interesting and enjoyable. It is lively but not too crowded. There are quite a few Thai massage places in the open air toward the cliff.
Ao Nang Beach is one of the best beach in Thailand. This place is famous for restaurant's, you can find lots of variety dishes here and most importantly Thai authentic dishes. Sunset is so good at this place. It's one of the cleanest place I Ever seen. People are so friendly and helpful. If you like to visit Thai don't forget to come here, you 'll defiantly fell love at this place.
