Borde Hill Garden is a garden located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of Haywards Heath, West Sussex in southern England. It is set in over 200 acres (80 ha) of garden, park and woodlands which has views across the Sussex High Weald.
Borde Hill Garden is planted in “living garden rooms”, each offering a different character and style. It is home to many rare shrubs: from rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias to roses, as well as numerous trees including one of the largest collections of champion trees in a private property in Britain (82 specimens as of 2013).
Pleasant walk around gardens but a bit lacking in colour at the time - excellent coffee and cake at The Gardeners Retreat Cafe inside gardens

Only went to the cafe. It had great service. Good food . Loo's are very cold and damp

The Halloween event was excellent the children loved it great for ages 3+. The playground they have there now is not as good as the last and there is not a lot for younger children 2-5 to do. Also in wet weather an all wooden play area is very slippery. All round though a good place to go for day out

We always enjoy a visit here. Lovely garden, adjacent cafe and summer tea garden. Spiritually uplifting when we're a bit down. Woodland play area for the grandchildren too.

New water feature in the Round Dell is looking good!

Wonderful garden to wander round. There is coffee, tea, cakes, plant sales, and shop available. The grounds are easily accessible for the less able, there are one or two areas wheelchairs or prams might struggle but the vast majority of the gardens are easy to enjoy for all.

Great gardens with lots of small, well thought out little details. We took our two dogs with who loved the outing.

Reasonably pretty gardens. Play area much better suited to older children than pre schoolers.

Lots of happy memories here as the family have grown. Suitable for all ages.

Lovely! Last time we visited in September but in June so much better with all the roses in bloom. My favourite part is the Italian garden with its tipping water feature, just sit on a bench & enjoy. Small outside cafe off the rose garden.

Garden is OK, not particularly exciting - if you look round slowly it might take an hour. Cafe had no food ... bit a rip-off for nine quid, maybe just about worth it if you've got the Gardener's World 2 for 1 card. Hopefully they'll improve the cafe soon ...

Such a beautiful garden. I love the Italian garden and the rose garden. Spent the afternoon with husband and son there. Great tea shop and really nice staff. Highly recommend a visit.

A truly fantastic garden which skips the crowds and over-commercialised atmosphere that an NT garden would. The grounds are simple idyllic and the horticulture team should be applauded for what they do with very minimal people.

Beautiful landscaped garden in the Sussex countryside. Gets busy but large enough to feel peaceful as you walk around. Probably best seen in May for maximum flower action. A little on the expensive side so plan to spend an afternoon here, and maybe bring a picnic.

Hmm gardens good, paying more to enter if you gift aid is not. Normally entrance price is the same and if you gift aid a portion of entrance fee goes to charity????. Clearly not the same at Borde Hill and I suspect other attractions.
