Excellent for children, great fountains, play area, sand for younger children, shade for picnics. Had a great morning. At 10 on a sunny Sunday it was lively but not too busy. My midday getting perhaps a bit busy.
Amazing place for all the family. Has a cafe, normally has an ice cream van or two sometimes has bouncy castles and even has an aviary, bunny's, chickens and a few species of birds. Huge family friendly park with many childrens activities. Perfect day out for young and older generations
Beautiful park. Well cared for with beautiful flower beds, a scenic walk by the side with streams, mini waterfalls and a lot of foliage. Loads of toys in the playground, sand, zip wire, water fountains. Public toilets are clean and modern but only open at certain hours. Probably the best park in Manchester!!!
What is not to love? Shaded walks by the stream, a botanical plant house, rabbits, chickens and birds in the aviary, a duck pond, cafe and public toilets, water fountains (brilliant to cool the kids off on a hot day, remember a towel!) little peoples play area in sandpit and play area for older children. Plenty of ice cream vans about on a hot day too! Great park with lots to keep the little ones happy and bowling greens and gardens with lots of benches for everyone else. There is no parking available at the park so you will need to leave the car home or try surrounding streets. Some are for residents only so keep your eyes peeled.
The park itself is lovely, but we visited on bank holiday Monday and it was packed with rough families drinking. Really needs a clamp down on this.
How I've not known about this place before is beyond me. What a fantastic park, water play lots of little walks and some rabbits and birds. Even a train that goes around the park.
Good park but really busy especially on sunny days water fountain which the children love but the same really busy and really good park nice walk as well parking is limited and when busy is hard to get a space best getting there early
Plenty of walking paths. Loads of green grass. Got a nice park for kids. Park run on Saturdays is great and free just need to sign up and get your personalized barcode to get your run times. The park cafe is nice for a quick bite to eat and there's rabbits to go view.
WHY would you lock the gates to a public park at 6.30pm on a beautiful, sunny evening? Also, large group of lads smoking weed in the middle of the park! There's kids there for gods sake. The park itself is really nice and well looked after, but why spoil it. Smoke your drugs in private!
