Managed to catch the change of the guards! Very beautiful!!
Breathtaking ceremony in remembrance of fallen Greek soldiers who could not be counted.
Just in front of the parliament building, there are 2 guards standing next to the monument of the unknown soldier. These 2 guards will have salute ceremonial quite often. You can just wait and make the video of them, the commander is quite nice and let us take picture with them.
Good to watch and experience it once. Not sure I would wait for this again. Indeed the guards are very well disciplined.
Changing of the guard is a special sight. The guardsmen come down from behind you. The guards have been standing at the position of attention for an hour. They perform the ceremony flawlessly. You can take pictures. Ceremony starts on the hour. Sunday’s there are a lot of guards come out and do the ceremony.
The Square houses the Greek Parliament. Very Important square of modern Athens from both a historical and social point of view.
Very solemn, guards similar to other places that are entrusted with this responsibility. On Sundays, about 10: 45 a.m. there is a full changing of the guard ceremony worth seeing for those who understand the sacrifices made for the living.
Guarded by two statue still guards. It is a great sight and very central.
..they died for Freedom of our Country and there are Uknown because there is the real Greek heart and Values..ancient Greek Values of Freedom Equality and Brootherhood
In front of the parliament there are two Evzons in traditional war clothes with guns. The third guardian, dressed in the usual shape and without a gun is nearby. He has a special task - to take care that the clothes of the evzones, standing on the post, have always been in order, and, when necessary, to correct him. People come to see the guardians change every hour. The main attraction is on Sunday at 11 am. Guardian change happens to the music of the military orchestra.
