Wonderful park in the center of Auckland... I really liked this place for a walk of hanging out during the day... it is always clean and has nice plants and flowers as well... such a great atmosphere...

Great spot for timeout near the centre of Auckland in a park environment. Has toilets although they are run down and may not always be 'wonderful'. A small rotunda if you get caught without shelter in the wet is handy as it has seating around the edges. There are hard surfaced walkways so you can wander around and admire the plants, fountains, statues etc.

This park has long been a favorite. There are a lot of very impressive old trees and lots of space to relax and enjoy the sun or shade. There's a floral clock, a fountain, a gazebo, statues and canons, and some nice views of the city center.

Love this inner city park, wish it had a public bathroom though. A good green space to eat lunch if you're in the city.

Beautiful park in the city. Enjoy a short relaxing walk around and through the park, or enjoy the views from the many benches. This area appears to be frequented by the University students from next door. Enjoy some amazing trees and colors. Park if setup and decorated in an colonial style.

Causal, short walk with plenty of shade and clear paths. It does get a bit steep in some parts but the overall walk is worth the trip. Lots of large trees to admire and be humbled by as you walk through.

Maybe it was a wrong time to visit, but one of the entrances was closed (some construction works), and there were too much hassle with utes driving around (some concert prepared). The bench I sat on lacked a bar. Flowerbed is nice though.

Nice scenic park in the middle of town. Great area to relax amongst the hustle and bustle of Auckland City. The grounds are well maintained and generally litter free. There is plenty of plotted gardens and attractions that make the place great for photography. The park does attract the certain characters that enjoy smoking illegal substances so dont be surprised to smell something funky on the air. They're usually hidden so it shouldnt be a worry. Generally a great park and a nice feature to have in town.

A nice oasis in the central city, however, at night it's a bit scary as most of the park is not well lit. In 2016, there was a lot of students got mugged in this park. During the day, this park often hosts festivals, University's orientation week, as well as a place where people get their tan or enjoy open spaces especially if it's sunny.

Nice park in the center of city with green grass playground, big trees, beautiful flowers, can watch the sky tower. Good place for walking, jogging or sitting and chat with friends. Love this park!

Medium sized cozy park great for hanging out in the sun or have picnics. Its popular amongst the local university students and its a nice place to bring kids. Its there that they host the annual lantern festival during which it becomes a but crowded but has plenty of activities like chinese dance shows and food stands. If you are lucky enough to visit Auckland during the festival, you should definitely go.

Magnificent old trees spreading their branches wide. Well-groomed lawns. Fountain and statues. There should be fewer buildings in the park - that would make it even better. The park has public toilets.
