Infant Jesus Church is a Roman Catholic church in Bangalore. Established in 1971, in Vivek Nagar area of Bangalore, the church is dedicated to Infant Jesus. It is known as the Infant Jesus Shrine and was built to commemorate the historic Infant Jesus of Prague; since then numerous miracles have been attributed to the shrine leading to its increasing popularity. A new church building adjacent to the old building was added in 2005.
The foundation of the Infant Jesus Church was laid on 18 April 1969, by Rev. Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy, the then Archbishop of Bangalore. Thereafter, in May 1971, Rev. Fr. L. Peter after being appointed the first parish priest, brought the statue of Infant Jesus from Sacred Heart Church, Bangalore and started a tent church at the site. The congregation continued thus for the next eight years, and finally the church building was inaugurated on 29 June 1979, by Rev. Dr. D. S. Lourduswamy, who had then become Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples in Rome.
One of the most well known shrines in Bengaluru. People from all faiths visit here. Good parking and other facilities have been provided. Thursdays are especially popular and see a large number of devotees visiting.

Who hasn't heard of this beautiful and famous church? Everyone in Bengaluru knows this church. Masses are held in many of the South Indian languages. The church provides a welcoming atmosphere to all. The miraculous power of Infant Jesus is felt. Om Thursdays, it can get extremely crowded and so parking is difficult on the narrow road. The church holds a really special place in Bengaluru city.

My experiences have been always very good and my prayers and petitions have been answered and problems have been solved. I always thank the divine Infant Jesus for solving my problems everytime in my times of need and difficulties.

One of the common churches in Bangalore. The place was crowded at the time of my visit and couldn't drive my car to the church since the road in front was one way. It would be good if you parking the car outside the church.

This is one a very famous church, in the name of Child Jesus. I have heard a lot about the church, and the miracles happened there. Nice place to visit for a quite time with the Lord. There is a Museum and chappel beside the church in the same compound. Holy Mass is held in English and several south indian languages on Sundays and weekdays. You can check the website of the church for further details. The church is hardly one or two kilometers away from Forum mall, Madivala and you can reach there by Uber taxi or more conveniently Auto rikshaws.

This church is located in the downtown Vivek nagar and has a narrow approach road - lined with shops selling flowers to hardware. If you enter the church premises, what greets you is the unusual construction of the church. It has lofty concrete columns supported by big steel beams. It has a massive woodcut 'draped' around the center. I would say this church has possibly one of the lowest echo and reverberation threshold values for a church. They have anti-echo panels lining the roof and well positioned roof mounted speaker pods. This church offers mass in 3 languages on most days - English, Tamil and Kannada. The small church before the newly constructed church still has the infant Jesus statue that attracted so many thousands of devotees over the years. If you can take a quiet moment in this shrine (on a day other than a Thursday), you can pray intently without the entire world trampling on you. On the narrow aisle straddling across the front yard, they have positioned 2 smaller statues of Infant Jesus - so that the faithful can touch and garland the statues. They have a basement below the church where you can park almost 200 cars.
