Vidhana Soudha (lit. 'Legislative House') in Bangalore, India, is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. It is constructed in a style described as Neo-Dravidian, and incorporates elements of various Dravidian styles. Construction was started in 1952 and completed in 1956.
The two houses of legislature of the princely state of Mysore, the legislative assembly and the legislative council, were established in 1881 and 1907 respectively. Sessions of the two houses took place in Mysore (with joint sessions taking place in the Bangalore Town Hall) until India's independence from British rule on 15 August 1947, when Mysore acceded to India. The state's capital was shifted to Bangalore; the two houses moved into Attara Kacheri, a British-built building in Cubbon Park that housed the High Court of Mysore.

One of the beautiful legislative house. Best time to visit this place will be in early morning or in evening during holidays. It’s close to cubbon park. So one can plan an early morning walk around Vidhana Soudha and cubbon park. The best way to reach here is to take a metro till Dr BR Ambedkar station. If not it would be difficult to find a place to park vehicle.

The seat of Karnataka's government. Security is an issue if you're trying to access the insides. It's a great place for an evening stroll just outside. Wonderful view of the High Court too.

One of the most beautiful house of the state legislature. The magnificent architecture denotes the Mysore Neo-Dravidian style. Situated opposite to the Karnataka High court, it is well maintained. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Station is situated close to it, making it more accessible via the metro. One of the must see sites in Bangalore
