Asiatique: The Riverfront is a large open-air mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It occupies the former docks of the East Asiatic Company, and faces the Chao Phraya River and Charoen Krung Road. The complex opened in 2012 after extensive renovation of the site.
The Denmark-based East Asiatic Company was founded in 1897 and was one of several Western firms conducting trade with Siam at the time. The company owned port facilities on the Chao Phraya, which included several warehouses, the oldest extant building dating from 1907. The port ceased operations in 1947, and the facilities later fell into disuse. In May 2011, real estate company TCC Land announced its plans to renovate and develop the site into a retail/entertainment complex to be known as Asiatique The Riverfront.

A great place to visit. Lots of cute shops - many with souvenirs but also some less traditional items, jewelry, and unique finds. Good restaurants and definitely a more modern part of town. Traveling alone, I felt safe and stayed out much later than I otherwise would have. Highly recommend!

Nice place to visit and escape the busy life of Bangkok for a short period. Although it is very touristy, flooded with tourists and souvenirs, still a nice place to have a drink as an expat. And I don't mean this in a bad way because I like it indeed. It's more that you have to see through this and you enjoy it. A nice drink at the river, some pics on the boulevard and a dinner in one of the many restaurants around. Cheers!

Great riverside place for dining and the restaurants are really good. Can do some shopping also for souvenirs, dresses, etc., but it is not like shopping mall type rather warehouse type layout. Have some shows inside operating, so better to check the timing before planning a trip here. One of the main attractions is Ferris Wheel. A must visit place if you are in Bangkok.

Although it was crowded, it was very very lively. Very colourful, very cheerful. Wonderful food. It may be a little expensive, but it was ok. A lot of street shows by many talented people. Nice small items suitable to be souvenirs. Very enjoyable place of your don't mind the overly crowd......

Great open riverfront area with great restaurants and shopping stalls. The Ferris wheel is a great way to have a birds-eye view of the area around the river, and it's all bright with a lot of tourists. A great spot to end the day and enjoy a meal. It is some 3km from the train station to connect to other parts of Bangkok such as the National Stadium etc.

Had a wonderful time. This is a wonderful place for any occasion. You can spend 30 baht a meal or 1500 baht a meal. Not a tourist rip off at all. Everything from street food to 5 star restaurants can be found here. The Farris wheel is 400 baht for adults and 250 for children below 120 centimeters. Great place for taking photographs and even 59 baht beer all night. I highly recommend this place but be prepared to be blown away. Maybe decide a restaurant before arriving because the are hundreds to choose from. Like I said can eat for 30 baht here or 1500 here. Walk around the entire place before deciding is my recommendation. Couple of places have live music. Peace out.. James

Got pretty lucky when i came here. The queue wasn't really long, the ship arrived pretty fast, and it was time for sunset. There's so many restaurants. Many stalls sold souvenirs, snacks, and clothes. Didn't try any food here. And i took grab to back home. Of course you can take a ship again like you go here, but if you're tired, i suggest you to take a taxi or order grab like i did. I regret i should spend more time to go around and explore more.

Night market specially catering to tourists. Not the normal night market you'd expect for Thailand. Unfortunately, going back is a pain late on the evening. Taxi queue is to eternity. At least a 45 minutes wait to go back after a long, hot evening shopping here. Better to go train market.

From souvenir gifts to fine clothing and tasty street foods to delicate restaurant dishes. This place offers various kind of things to see. You can enjoy live entertainment along the street or just stroll around the river side while enjoying the night breeze. This is definitely one of the most hype night market in Bangkok you don't want to miss.

Nice view especially at night. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from, either local, fast food, western and/or fusion. Prices here are obviously significantly more expensive than say a night market, but the place is cleaner, more spacious and has lots to do. You can take a boat ride from here to various tourist spots. Very convenient.

A huge market where you can find all sorts of souvenirs! Bags, scarfs, food, desserts, fruits smoothies, fruit juice, clothing, dressing, accessories, food or body massage. There are some bars you can enjoy live bands. By the river, you can see a big Ferris wheel. Take that and you can enjoy the night view of the market and the river. But the price is a bit expensive. 400B for an adult. In the market, there is a carousel you can take your kids there for fun!

Awesome attractive place. I really wanna go there again. Surely, you can spend a wonderful time. This place is very good for kids also. You can take fresh air here. Life in Bangkok is busy and packed, if you want to take relief you can come here.

Good if you are in holiday and have money to spend. Not really backpacker friendly but still there is a good atmosphere and it's nice to just wander around. Good photo opportunities of the Chao Phraya skyline and the big wheel and loads of stalls to look around. More commercial that others markets but still worth a visit 😁

This is a nice place to go. There are warm people with different races. Different clothes to shop when you love fashion. Tasty foods that is right to your taste. And from a very warm place, it transforms into a romantic place when the moon rises. It's good for all lovers who want to stay in a crowd place. Also, the most important thing you have to visit is the roller coaster there. It's very popular to many foreigners because you can see the beautiful river and infrastractures up above.

This is a cute place to visit as it is very organized, clean and safe. Guards will direct pedestrian traffic and will check for metallic weapons on entry. The way it is setup is similar to outdoor shopping malls in the US, where there are shops and restaurants inside. They have outdoor sittings and night market style street foods in addition to the restaurants. Everything is written in multiple languages and can speak English. With all these convenience, the items sold are slightly more inflated compare to outside (where you could run into language or sanitary situation). Haggling is a must to get the best price and feel free to walk away as the items could be bought elsewhere for less. The river view is also worthy to take a few shots. Overall, this is a great place to come and chill but I would not do any shopping here unless it's some unique items like art work etc.

Pretty good vibe and some great shopping and restaurants. The boat ride to get there was also fun. I also really enjoyed people watching in the area. Everything was so bright and lit up it felt very modern and as I wrote above, it had a nice feel/ vibe to it. If you're in Bangkok, I think you should definitely spend an evening exploring ASIATIQUE and the surrounding riverfront area.

Nice but way over priced. Shops are actually OK for shopping. Ferris Wheel costs like a lot per person. But if you are Thai or have a Thai ID it is less. Most restaurants are OK. But they have driven the rest of the night markets out of business. Still worth going especially with kids.

For food, drink, authentic souvenir shopping. Great place to chill. Large choice of food. Free boat shuttle. A little bit crowded in the evening. Difficult to get a taxi 🚕

A pretty good place to experience at least once. Plenty of choices to shop, play and eat. There is a open area that sold a wide choice of food. Some of the things can be a little more expensive than other night market (eg. Passport cover with name) while some of the stuff sold there are reasonably priced. The easily way to visit got to be through the free ferry service.

Amazing place to spend the later half of the day in Bangkok. The stall spread across the river side walk is just appropriate for all your needs. Its a msn made town with lot of photo opportunities. Loved the riders cafe with interesting seating arrangements giving a cycle arrangement. Main attraction being of this place is the Bangkok flyer

Pretty cool market with a seemingly endless availability of shops. Some basic, touristy shops, and some more specialized shops that sell leather goods and some hip leather shoes for men and woman. It has a lot. Expect to walk around for a while. Expect to be sweaty by the end of your visit. Though being in Bangkok this should be expected.

It's a nice place to hang around with friends and family. Kids will enjoy the rides and it's also good for shopping. There are varities of Restaurants to get you stomach full with mouth watering foods. You can also try the Dr Fish ( Fish Spa) which is something not to be missed.
