The Erawan Shrine, formally the Thao Maha Phrom Shrine (Thai: ศาลท้าวมหาพรหม; RTGS: San Thao Maha Phrom; 'shrine of Lord Maha Brahma'), is a shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, which houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. The name might also refer to Mahabrahma, the ruler of the Brahma realm in Buddhist cosmology.
The deity is popularly worshipped outside of a Hindu religious context, but more as a representation of guardian spirits in Thai animist beliefs. The shrine often features performances by Thai dance troupes who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers answered at the shrine.

After visiting Lumpini park, we walked to here to see the famous shrine. We enjoyed watching prayers prayed and made their wishes. We also watched how prayers returned something (dance and music...etc) when their wishes came true. There are many similar shrines around, but, this one is the most crowded and unique one. The shrine is located in Bangkok's shopping mall district, so, you can plan a trip together.

1. 四面佛 / Four Face Buddha 🙏🙇🏻♂️ 2. Price is reasonable. 3. Dancer for return your prayers - 1 to 8 dancers 4. Best day and time to pray: Every Thursday at 9pm. 5. Flowers + Candle + Joss sticks (due to air pollution - No burning of joss sticks and candles) 6. Start Clockwise with the buddha side facing the entrance. 7. In essence, sincerity is the key point. 8. Make your donation and help the needy ones. 9. Dress appropriately and respect every religious. 10. Scared water located at the back (for good blessing).

Extremely crowded. Be prepared with about 2000 to 4000 baht for buying the offering. They will show you how to pray. Start at the one facing the street, then clockwise 4 times. 3 incense each side then flowers and offering. Then water blessings.
