We had a lovely stay at the Shangri-La Bangkok. We loved our room and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We also appreciated the service level of the very attentive staff. The only points to mention would be that when we checked in, we had to wait quite a while before our bags were brought up to the room. Also, we ate a meal at he Next2 restaurant and the service was extremely slow. The final thing would be that when we checked out we left our bags with the concierge, because we didn’t need to be at the airport until the evening. It would have been really nice if they had offered us use of shower/changeroom facilities (as many other hotels do). Overall, we loved the hotel and would stay again.
The 4 nights stay in your hotel was always excellent, and it was the best hotel in my life. The cleaning, the drink, the food, the hospitality... everything was perfect. The location was one of the criteria to choose this hotel, and indeed it was very convenient to go to the central parts of Bangkok. I appreciate very much to the Hotel, Shangri-La.
This was our third visit to your wonderful hotel. Last year and this year we elected to stay in Krungthep Wing Deluxe Balcony room which with its view of the river and the package inclusions of afternoon tea and evening cocktails makes it exceptional value for the room rate charged . Although this wing has just celebrated its 32 year celebration it is still an excellent accommodation choice and we look forward to returning again. ALL the staff in this Wing are not only professional they are also welcoming and friendly something your management should be very proud of and something that certainly attributed to our stay being so wonderful. They certainly support “The Land of Smiles “ creed.
Our experience was great at Shangri- La. All of the staff were very friendly and were eager to help you in any way possible. Ever time we walked in the front doors we were greeted by all staff. When we first arrived we were led to our room and shown around where all areas were located. When we got into our room we had fresh fruit and chocolates awaiting us (we were there for our honeymoon). The breakfast buffet was also very good. Lots of variety every morning.
Our entire experience at this hotel was one of total satisfaction for our small group of six. The staff, amenities, and service was of the highest standard and the location on the river made it so enjoyable. Thank you to all that made our 3 day stay in Bangkok so special. We will return. I was really disappointed with the hotel staffs, especially customer service and lost and found at night shift. I was not able to find my bikini top I left in the room a few hours after my departure, even I have called immediately on the same day after arriving the airport. It is gone and no where to be found, even if I have specifically described where it was hanged. I am quite disappointed with the quality of the room cleaning staff and the ability to locate lost and found goods are really disappointing. Especially the overall process was really unpleasant. The feedback was really slow, turning me over in between different staffs from customer service to lost and found on the phone. Loose a lot of time and no passion at all to service customer on the phone from night shift. It was my favorite bikini top but seems like no one really cares about what is important to the guest and wants to find it back. I will not stay here again in the future and will not recommend to any of my friends.
Excellent hotel stay. The people are just simply superb, friendly & super attentive and very responsive. However, the food quality could be improved. Exact same breakfast selection for 3 days and the lunch, tea-breaks & dinner would certainly need some improvement as I would expect a higher quality in term of taste & selection are concerned. But I’m definitely coming with my family!!
I had an incredible experience at your hotel. The bed and pillow were soft enough yet not to soft that made me have aches and pains in the morning. The breakfast was fantastic as well, only if the fruits session could have other types of fruits. I stayed 5 nights and I was hoping you would serve some typical Thai fruits. Nevertheless, I ate so much every morning because I just couldn't resist all the good foods. Your employees were so hospitable! They treated me like I were a princess. Thank you for being such a good host!
Fabulous stay! We came off cruise ship and were able to check into our room at 10 AM which was great. The room and hotel amenities were wonderful. Loved the complimentary bottled water in room and at the pool and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We loved this hotel!!
I had an overall excellent experience. The room I stayed in was clean and proper. The only qualm I had was it seemed like the decor was becoming a bit dated and slightly shopworn, but overall acceptable. Considering the price point, I hoped for something a little fresher. Also, no shaving razor in the room. I probably could have requested one, but I was kind of surprised it wasn't simply included. On a somewhat more important note, I sustained a minor injury near the Grand Ballroom on the balustrade that surrounds the escalator. Where two round wooden balustrades come together in a mitered joint, the joint is quite sharp. I simply brushed it with my arm and it gave me a scratch that bled down my arm. It was very minor, but something that should probably be addressed with a light sanding and refinishing of the joint so that it is not so sharp.
We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok for eight (8) nights and had a very memorable experience. A very relaxing and welcoming place to stay at whenever one is in Bangkok. We loved the breakfast and snack variations.Great staff at all locations - reception, restaurants, etc. Nice room with river view, we had 2 interconnected river view rooms for my family. Loved the pool. Good location. Reception area was always nice and cool, and had a lovely fragrance. Staff at the reception is very helpful and kind. Keep up the great work and always live up to its luxury benchmark. Hope to come back to this hotel once again in the future.
Our experience was nice, staff that we interacted with were fantastic and the room was great. Just a couple points to call out if I may so that you can help your future guests. 1) During our stay the coffee machine in 2326 was not working well and I asked for Housekeeping to come and fix or replace. Not sure that happened as the last day still had issues. 2) Maintenance was happening on the patio beside the pool. We came late and were seated right beside the noise when you had an entire area to seat us. Should have redirected us to quiet inside or far left of the terrace. We adjusted on our own so no worries there. 3) when booking car service I stated in my email that we had 4 people and 3 big luggage and after confirmation I was told that the car was booked that was max 3 people. A bit more attention to detail instead of simple automation would help in that case. Again not a big concerns but just something to take attention to. Otherwise great stay, thank the GM for a personally hand written welcome letter and the small extras for the kids!
I loved this hotel. Very well maintained. Beautifully decorated. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Housekeepers always greeted me cheerfully in the hallways. Location is very convenient. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended my reservation from 4 nights to 7 nights. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok!!
Good location on a working river- always busy with great views and boat rides. Very efficient staff who were friendly and helpful. Good security. Excellent food in the restaurants. Top class hotel with great rooms and lots of amenities. I can recommend the Horizon Club for breakfast and Happy Hour.
Amazing room facing the river - great views where you can see the sunset. Even though the room faced the lifts it wasn't noisy. Very polite staff and great service. Every evening there was great singing performance of English songs by an amazing singer. Watermelon juice was very refreshing. Loved the stay there!
We loved the view of the river from our bedroom. We also loved the riverside restaurant and bar. It was convenient to have such a good place to relax on-site. The staff was uniformly helpful and friendly. We watched the tea dancing on Sunday and it made for a lovely show. A nice touch was the Lost Horizon book marks left on our bed each day. Thank you.
The hotel is decorated nicely and has a luxurious atmosphere. The rooms were good and the river view is nice. Staff at the reception is very helpful and kind. The breakfast is good and has a wide selection. The menu for lunch and dinner was also good. Sometimes the staff in the restaurant was not really paying attention to the guests, we had to ask multiple times for ordering or the bill etc. It would be better if they could notice guests more. Overall, the hotel was a delight to stay in.
