The highlight of this temple is the woman selling food right by the entrance. Best street food in Bangkok. I ordered one thing after another and nothing disappointed. A true master chef!

Worth a visit! This 32m high statue was started in 1867 and it took sixty more years to complete it in 1927. Devotees who visit the temple for worship offer mackerel, a boiled egg and a garland of flowers which they place with reverence at the foot of the Buddha image.

Please! DON'T go here! They scam tourists. If you take a tuk tuk to the tempels you will first be dropped by some other places where they will try to get money from you and at the tempel they will FORCE you to buy a ticket. It's not good the way they work. They lost there minds. I will never go to bangkok again

It's supposed to be the largest free standing Buddha. The Wat's main architectural depiction is a 105 ft (32 metres) high, 33 ft (10 meters)wide standing statue referred to as Luang Pho To or "Phra Si Ariyamettrai" (Maitreya). It was started in 1867 and took 60 years to construct. It's currently having repairs and is surrounded by scaffolding.
