This is a stunning museum, that is without question but that is where my positivity ends. Idon't think I am a modern art lover but I have grown up in an artistic family and know skill and talent when I see it. Some of the art either I just don't understand or respect the skill it has taken to create the work. I encourage you to make up your own mind as the exhibitions change and hopefully you are moved more than I was...

2 artist exhibits, each w own floor. No permanent exhibits, at least I don't think. 2 exhibitions...Interesting, not 'wow,' but that is more up to individual taste. One was woman, lesser well known from Beat NYC. Enjoyed most projection of poems on screen w recordings of her readings. Barcelona is (a?) skateboard capital in Europe. Plaza outside museum skateboard friendly, lots of mostly guys in 20s and 30s. Sat outside at cafe w coffee in January and watched.

Great museum size to explore in 1-2 hours without being overwhelming. Exhibits spread over 3 floors (2 open during my visit) in large airy spaces and modern, minalmist building featuring international artists and movements. €10 entrance fee. Nice museum gift shop accessible from inside and outside. Top floor was dedicated to the retrospective of a single female artist.

The place in itself is interesting enough to buy a ticket. The exhibition were all very interesting with a mix of very known artists and discoveries. Though it was mainly artists from the 70's, so if you're looking for something fresh try the CCB instead.

I enjoyed the visit very much. A short conversation with very helpful staff who gave me some idea about the museum. Then three exhibitions. Two hours passed in the blink of an eye. Highly recommended place!

Oh boy! Difficult to rate. First, let me start by saying that I didn't enjoy this place, but admittedly I'm not a huge fan of modern art. If you love contemporary art, you'll probably love this place. If you're not into it, then obviously you should avoid this like the plague. Finally, I can't fault the gallery on its space and facilities. So five stars for the museum and two stars for the current exhibitions. Oh yeah, almost forgot... If you love skateboarding, then the grounds of the museum are a Mecca for skateboarders across Barcelona!

Interesting exhibits, definitely with a political spin. The curation of the pieces is a bit odd. It is kind of difficult for English speakers to understand the different exhibits and why they are categorized in a certain way. I did like the artwork though. It often provides the visitor an experience and get you involved with the pieces. I wish that the little store had more souvenirs that were related to the works in the museum, it seems more like a stationary store than a store to take away part of your experience. Otherwise, if you bought the Barcelona Pass and you're trying to get every bit out of it, this is a nice visit with nice bathrooms close to a bunch of cute restaurants for after you're done with the exhibits.

Why am I here? Because I stupidly bought the Barcelona card, which gives me free entrance. I can't understand a bit of things here. I can't even distinguish where a chair is for exhibition or I can put my ass on it. The only thing I like here is the feelings I had while walking on the aisle along with all white wall. The best thing here is the building itself. The building can have four stars.

The worst contemporary art museum I’ve ever seen. Boring and obvious. The building and the book shop are the only things that are worth the visit. The skateboarders outside were also fun to watch.
