Interesting place with a lot of weird stuff. I have to be honest here, I don't get modern art and a few of the temporary exhibits fall in that category. But, the Tinguely exhibition was extremely interesting. This man made some fascinating machines, though his inspiration was curious, they are very cool to see in person as they spring to life.

If you are not into Modern Art and no idea what the kinetic art is, this place is not for you. Also the "things" must be moving when you push the button if someone before you did, they don't move. So you maybe can't catch the thing you actually should see. Price per person is 18 CHF which is overpriced I guess, but the discount card which most of hotels give you is accepted. I call this museum "Useless machines museum"

A fascinating museum in Basel dedicated to a single artist. The genius of kinetic sculptures. Interactive displays. Worth a visit. Has an excellent cafe.
