Superb botanical gardens, with beautiful views of Lago Maggiore. The gardens include a formal Italian garden, water features and many more very photogenic items. Well worth a visit!
for all lovers of flowers and trees, this is a must see. the garden is very well maintained but the cafe has been reduced to a shack with vending machines for snack bars and icecream, this should be a real cafe.
The place is great. Free parking but small one..10 euro for entrance you can make it in 1:30 easily. The islands are better .. if you have to choose .. when we were there, few flowers were ready :-(
Huge botanical garden with interesting plants. Also one tree damaged by the tornado. We took public transport to Intra, walked 1 km to Villa Taranto and walked around. Then returned to Stresa by public transport again. There is one restaurant there but not attractive. Food was OK
Beautiful. I can't wait until spring to go again! Even better than I expected.
Lovely place for walk into the nature! The ticket is so expensive
I love visiting gardens and have seen some beautiful places in many countries but this one is breathtaking. The autumn colours were stunning. The area is beautifully laid out and the views are stunning. Would love to visit at different times of the year. Maybe??
I think this is one of the most beautiful places I visited in my life!! The peace I found here I think it's difficult to reproduce or find!! The gardens are astonishing and everything is orderly. If you are in the Lake Maggiore area I really suggest you to visit those gardens!!
It is the Best botanic garden in Italy! I visited this garden twice. Both times I was amazed by beauty and size of garden. There is a very large collection of plants from different parts of the world. The paths of garden lead you to the top of the hill with fantastic view on the Lake Madgore and mountains. Walks in the garden are great pleasure even you aren’t a big fan of botany. I’d recommend to do a little picnic in the garden, there are a lot of special place for it. In my experience you need minimum 3-4 hours to walk in the garden.
