Most locals have no idea this place exists. It's free entrance but they accept donations. Beautiful setting, great place to take younger kids. Pleasant walk for adults.

Would give it a zero if I could. Website says it is open from 1 to 5 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. WRONG!! They are closed until February due to construction. Drove 100 miles to find this out.

Beautiful gardens, major historical & cultural significance for the local indigenous Tongva. This (and surrounding area) is/was the site of a significant trading center and point of emergence center, Puvuunga.

Where can you find original barns built in the 1930's bamboo trees, horses, and chickens roaming around in Long Beach? Here at El Rancho Los Alamitos. Nested within a residential area adjacent to California State Long Beach. Admission and parking is free, but tours need to be booked in order to attend. It's a great place to bring the little ones and introduce them to live animals in a more intimate setting or set up a tour and luncheon with your friends. Roam around the multiple gardens and learn some history about early California It's open to the public and multiple structures have been restored. Highly recommend Rancho Los Alamitos!

Peaceful!! I spend about an hour there with my 3 kiddos and nephews. Great place for a small walk to relax, fresh air, beautiful scenery. There are chairs to sit around and relax. Definitely worth seeing.
