Very pleasant place. Nice weather for taking pictures. There was a small cafe with excellent coffee and perfect interview with an old woman. We were talking about the history of Charlottenburg and also about the life in divided town. Thank you madam.

One of my favorite spots in Berlin. The palace is super cute and renders very nice pictures, but my favorite part is the garden behind it. It looks gorgeous during all seasons of the year! Also, there's a very nice Christmas Market in front of the palace in December. In my opinion it is the cutest Christmas Market in Berlin, although it is quite pricey!

Beautiful palace with exquisite decor, filled with history and interesting takes on the king and queen who commissioned the renovation of the palace. You cannot take photographs inside the palace, which is a pity, except if you pay a special photography visit (or something), about which we were only told inside the palace. So no pictures inside. Also up until April, one cannot visit all of the buildings, so the visit was a lot shorter than we anticipated. The gardens were obviously not in the best shape since we visited in the winter months, but obviously no surprise there. I would recommend a visit during the summer and getting full information about the visit WITH photography allowed.

This place is beautiful, there’s no two ways about it. If you’re into photography, this would be a great place to bring your camera along, as words simply don’t do it justice. If you’re on a short vacation in Berlin or are in the area for longer, you should definitely make time in your schedule to visit.

best moment for the castle visit, if i may suggest, is absolutely summer evening. prudently serene and quietly welcoming. breezy and peaceful so such a gem in Charlottenburg..

Beautiful Palace. From the actual building to the furniture and art it containsIt is split up into different sections, definitely worth the extra few euro to visit all areas as they all have their own story to tell. The grounds are lovely for a walk. Easy to get to by public transport and loads of nice little restaurants around for a bite to eat.

Place filled with art collection and taste of Sophie Charlottenburg. Took a century to build the entire place. Sadly destroyed in second in WW2. Good to see that effort has been made to restore the palace as close as to its glory. Go just go for pictures. Spending time walking in the palace, with the help of audio guide is highly recommended and rewarding experience.

One of the few remaining palaces in Berlin. Would recommend getting the audio guide in order to fully grasp the history behind the place. Great gardens for strolling, especially in warm weather. I would personally skip the Pavilion, Belvedere and Mausoleum. Just stick to the Palace itself.

An absolute Master piece. The palace comprises of many rooms, each room has its unique design and portraits of art. There are 2 parts of the place to be seen. I recommend both of them with the audio.

This is one of the many palaces that dot Berlin Brandenburg in Germany. Located in the city of Berlin, this palace is easily accessible, besides its historical value. It is a top tourist attraction, with many eateries located in its vicinity. There is also a park adjacent to the palace for picnic!

Amazing day out at Charlottenburg Palace. We went around the old wing and didn't go into the new wing.... We wish we had, the included audio tour is good and the Old wing tour takes about 45 minutes.

Amazing park really with the garden as well in front of the palace. Haven't been inside but from pictures looks awesome. Close to train station and you can easily run and use your bicycle.

The garden was amazing. You can go and appreciate how wonderful the garden is especially in the summer time-sunny day. and if you want to see the inside of the palace- it is not free but for the garden is free. So can enjoy the garden anytime

Absolutely stunning in the evenings. The place hosts classical music concerts on a regular basis. The Christmas market here is also really cute

Beautiful palace. Easy to get to with the U2 metro. Give yourself 3 hours to property visit the old and new wings plus the wonderful gardens. Definitely get the audio guide to get some historical context on the building and the family that lives there .the audio guides are free!. There are two more buildings in the grounds I haven't seen them yet but maybe they are worth a visit

Traveling with others is fun because they might suggest something we might not have otherwise done. This palace is one of those things, and we're happy we visited. We took a train to a bus to get here since we had travel passes in Berlin. We bought passes at the old palace, which includes an audio guide and other parts of the palace. There's a free coat check so you don't have to carry items around. The old palace has a great history, and lots of artwork. Using the audio guide it will take over an hour to get through, but well worth it. The new palace we opted to just walk through and not take an audio guide. It was equally beautiful.

Absolutely fantastic! This is a must go to if you are in Berlin. You can easily take the bus to the Palace. The tours are reasonably priced and come with an audio tour that is very informative and not too long. The gardens behind the palace are mesmerizing. I could not have enjoyed my visit more.

Really well presented pice of German history. Buy a Charlottenburg + ticket and get access to all the buildings. Also the 3€ photo permission is well worth it. Nice park around to relax. Wasn't that busy on a Saturday. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice castle with an extraordinary collection of China 16 century porcelans. New wing is also worth visiting. I put only 4 stars, because there is no elevator to access upper floor for handicap people, and because green surroundings are maintained

This is a nice place to spend half a day if you’re in Berlin and have time. There are some rooms in the palace that are exceptionally beautiful, however, due in part to the war, most do not have original furnishings and many have been reproduced to mimic the originals. A great spot for history buffs, as the audio guides give detailed descriptions of the palace’s history, including its prior tenants, however, there are many other palaces/castles in Europe that exude a greater sense of decadence and majesty, and at a cost of 20€ (including a 3€ photography permission fee) to see the entire palace, it’s a relatively expensive experience.

With a ticket you can visit the interiors which is quite nice with a free audio guide. The staff is not the most polite though. Carrying a camera requires a different photography ticket. The outer section of the place also is very spacious and has a nice garden, pond and a walking trail with good views of the palace.
