The Friedrichstadt-Palast, also shortened to Palast Berlin, is a revue in the Berlin district of Mitte (district center). The term Friedrichstadt-Palast designates both the building itself, and the revue theater as a body with his ensemble. The present building is distinct from its predecessor, the Old Friedrichstadt-Palast (former Grosses Schauspielhaus located near Schiffbauerdamm), and therefore now also called the New Friedrichstadt-Palast.
The history of the Friedrichstadt-Palast goes back to an earlier market hall, which is about 200 meters southwest of present-day location between the Bertolt-Brecht-Platz and the road was at the circus, official address was in 1867 at the 1st Circus.

Very nice Theater, not much space for legs(important for big people). Only one toilet. Seriously, when people who design this kind of buildings will notice that the ladies rooms should be bigger? There's always a miles long line to the ladies toilet and no line to the mans room. It's not so hard to get to some conclusion...

Great show. Impressive architecture and design inside. Very classy and at the same time casual. I enjoyed the show, the scene is indeed very charming and big. I didn't like the seats tho, as it felt a bit hard and uncomfortable. And I think they have to do something on the bar in the intermission, as I was waiting for like 10 minutes to buy a drink. I was there first, but standing at the bar corner. Everyone was queuing in the middle and the barmen, even though he saw me standing there for a while, was taking orders from the huge mass in the center. That was very disappointing and totally bad organized. I was very sad and haven't gotten any drink in the end.

I've seen several shows here over the past few years as I have friends in the orchestra. While the general aesthetic does not align exactly with my own - it's big, bombastic, and glitzy where I prefer more subtle and intimate performances - the quality is definitely high, it's a visual feast (particularly the current show with its Jean Paul Gauthier costumes) with gorgeous lighting and extravagant staging, and the acrobatic performances are top notch. The orchestra sounds great, though it always seems a bit strange not to be able to see them at all. I also didn't get much from the vocal songs, but hey, you can't have everything...

We went to see "The One". It was quite nice. You can really see Jean Paul Gaultier on the outfits. The performances were breathtaking. I would have liked to see a bit more of a storyline, though. It is more like just random acts. The seats were good. Even though they were more to the back, the inclination is quite high so no one in front of you blocks your view. I didn't like the fact that we had to pay 1.5 € for each jacket or coat we wanted to leave at the cloakroom.

We went for a movie premier during Berlinale. The Hall is huge, and the interior design is amazingly beautiful. There were a lot of people pouring in. But the staff was well trained so everything was in order. Great experience. Danke!

What a great show (The One), stunning costumes, fantastic performers. Years of training comes through to give you a on-point show! Worth every penny. Two things to think about, don't take coats into the performance there isn't a lot of room around the chairs, use the cloakroom ... and second the air-con comes up through the hollow backs of the chairs.... which can be a little uncomfortable.

Visited this place to see the One Grand Show, it was worth it, amazing atmosphere, good to buy tickets online because on the spot its going to be chaos, plan your trip if you can without a car, parking can be a headache.

We've been here to several shows (Qi, Yma, Wyld, The One) and it's always great entertainment. The mixture of dance, artistic elements and the music is really outstanding. The stage is huge but you've got a pretty good view from most of the seats inside. If you like big stage entertainment, then this is definitely a strong recommendation for you.

Went to see The One Grand show. This is an amazing theatre with the biggest stage. Seating is comfy for theatre seats. We booked our seats on the front row and had great leg room. Great being so close to the stage as you felt you were part of the show itself. The one grand show is an amazing show. Great music and costumes. Alot of people moan there is no story line but they tell you this before hand. But there actually is a story in a way!!!

The One was a beautiful Revue show full of dance performances, mesmerising acrobatic acts, live music and breathtaking costumes. It was very entertaining! I wish some of the acrobatic acts would have been more prominent - the aerial hoop/contortion act was great, but it was almost just used as a filler act. The fire act was a bit underwhelming, the build up to the fire was amazing, but the actual spinning was quite basic and very short and the effect almost got lost in this huge stage. The trapez act on the other hand was out of this world! I loved it so much! I wish you would have given other performers the same amount of time and space! The show would have been absolutely fantastic. The main character was lacking some inspiration and edge - him running around and acting confused was getting boring really quick. I loved the stage itself and the way it transformed, the ice floes and the stars were beautiful. Sometimes though it seemed to be a bit too big - for example in the first scene you could barely see the two singers in the background, or the performers dancing more in the back. Somehow I also wish you could have made some space on the side or in the back for the musicians. Would have loved to see them play their instruments the whole time. In some scenes with lots of dancers doing the same choreography I wish the focus in training would have been on getting everyone to dance in sync and get everyone on the same level. Cause you could really see who has been training a lot and who was only using the prop/learning the choreography for this one act. Thanks for a lovely evening, let's hope you learn from your flaws and make them better next time

The show is amazing, mind blowing like a dream. You don't even feel the time flying! It was a great evening and it's something you should do if you are in Berlin.

You can't take your drink into the show like home so make sure to finish it first! Lovely building. We saw The One Grand Show. Not quite a Cirque show but very good none the less.
