The Gardens of the World is a huge park with tons of things to do! Kids can go to playgrounds, there's food and of course all the different gardens. You can even take the gondola to the other side of the hill and ride a bob there. The gardens are very well kept and detailed.
It is an amazing place for family to hangout. Very nice gardens and really clean place. I recommend you guys to visit there. But remember, you need to pay to get in to there. For those who has Berlinpass is cheaper to buy a ticket.
Literally worth your time. One time price 7 Euro is cheap comparing to how much u can see and that u can spend there all day. Recommended place for picnic and family event. And beautiful gardens. Especially oriental and tropical!
Beautiful gardens! If you visit this place in the summer, I especially recommend you go there in the evening - the calming mixture of fresh evening breeze, water babble from the little fountains and omnipresent greenery totally soothe the senses after the whole day. A bit pricey for a regular ticket (7 €), but the entrance is free after 8 pm.
Although the gardens were nice there was a long distance between each display, on a hot summer day it can get a little warm. Refreshment stalls were few and far between as well and some seemed unattended. This seemed kind of odd as it was the end of June. Also the Japanese garden, the one I was most keen to see, was closed. I didn’t feel it was worth the €7 admission fee. We had gone with the idea to take the cable car ride and do the bobsled run, but discovered after paying to enter the park that you had to exit the park to do so. And from what we could understand the €9 combination ticket for the two rides, that I had read about on the web site, was not available that day and to top it off it looked like there was also another fee to enter the Kienberg Park. All in all a very disappointing day of sightseeing.
Big and beautiful park in eastern Berlin. Here’s a few small parks or gardens inside and each of them related to separated culture or kind of climate. Be aware in advance that here’s 4 entrances and exits, you have to decide which one of them you need previously your attendance, because they leads you to different streets. Right after the entrance you see little fountains and cozy places. Small cableway with 3 stations is here, but for city park it’s rather good and exciting. Strictly recommend you to visit Tropical Halle - this place lets you feel yourself in Thailand, really great climate conditions and plants and trees and constructions. It’s surprisingly that this park is not so overcrowded compare to another popular parks in Berlin even on the weekend.
Over 12 Country based Gardens with a lot of space between to find your own place to escape from the noise of the big city. Monks and Priests ensure that the spiritual energy flows through the visitors heart by visiting them shrines and temples. Beautiful.
A cool cable car ride for a reduced students price of 7 euros. One can also go up the observation deck and have a good top view of the city. One downside- One has to spend another 12-13 euros for an entry inside the actual garden. Though the garden itself is good, it's not worth 13 euros.
Excellent place for all ages. You can also bring a picnic and settle down on blanket beside one of the romantic little ponds. There are plenty of benches and good playgrounds also. And of course all the garden displays are fantastic. You can just have a lovely family day out there, or a romantic day for a couple
Beautiful garden that is conducive to a nice tranquil, relaxing day. Carry the kids along for fun on the water playground. The grounds are very big and require a bit of walking to see everything. There are multiple areas available to take breathtaking pictures. The cost is 7 euros during the summer and 3 otherwise. Kids 5 and under are free. Its a great family area and a must go at least once to enjoy the beautiful scenery in a relaxing atmosphere.
Beautiful gardens especially during cherry blossom. Entrance costs 7 EUR per person. Would recommend taking the cable car ticket combo (10 EUR) as the view from the cable cars was nice.
Highly recommend place to bring visiting friends and family, have a leisurely day in the park, or just wander for a day. If you've been here before the IGA renovations, it's definitely worth a second visit now. Plenty of places to eat, lots of chairs, tables, and loungers to relax and lots of bathrooms all over this large park.
Very intersting and beautiful places that you can see here. Bring some time as the gardens also offer places for lunch and coffee/cake. The gardens are also suitable to come with children as there are several places for then to play and enjoy a nice summer day in the green outskirts of Berlin
A beautiful park to visit alone or with friends or family. Huge area to walk around and also a high tower to enjoy a view of the eastern part of the city. The park entails international gardens like Japanese, Chinese or oriental garden, all in style of the regions.
Would have been nice to know that most of the individual gardens inside are still closed before we bought the tickets due to season.but we will be back in summer and i'm sure it will be awesome.
Entertaining for children at heart! Even in the winter! Go inside the whale, get lost in the labyrinth, read the walls of the Christian garden and don’t take your ice cream into the jap garden - they will get you! :) Will go back when the flowers bloom!
As all the city gardens in Berlin, this one is perfectly managed, neat and worth seeing. It's especially beautiful in the springtime, when cherry blossoms bloom. Perfect place to chill, have a walk or meet friends.
We loved it because it's not overrun by people and there are lots of things to do. You can just go for a walk, sit in the sun, ride the cableway and an Alpine coaster, admire the gardens of the world and on special occasions there are concerts too. There is also a huge playground for kids.
Just a really lovely place with lots of different gardens - Chinese, English, Japanese, Persian, Thai, religious and some others. Needs to offer more food and drinks, it has not enough restaurants. But it is really lovely in every season for a walk and to look for new plants It now has a cable car! And a viewing platform called *wolkenhain*
Beautiful park, but many parts are closed in the winter season, including gastronomy. Prices are also reduced, but still, would always recommend to go after Easter.
Great. I had really a great experience visiting this huge garden. I was really lucky because the weather was amazing with a lot of sun... Even in summer could be hard to have a sunny day in berlin. The garden is far from the usual touristic routes but in my opinion it is worth to visit especially when you can't anymore survive to the crowd of the most famous places in the wonderful berlin
Don’t go in the winter. Its very cool and really nothing to do except riding the mountain cable car. All planets are covered.
Gardens of the World in Berlin is a huge Park with superb examples of gardens from many countries supplemented by an enormous Cable Car system and many other interesting and exciting exhibits for Adults and Children.
