The Jewish Museum Berlin (Jüdisches Museum Berlin) was opened in 2001 and is the largest Jewish museum in Europe. On 3,500 square metres (38,000 square feet) of floor space, the museum presents the history of Jews in Germany from the Middle Ages to the present day, with new focuses and new scenography. It consists of three buildings, two of which are new additions specifically built for the museum by architect Daniel Libeskind. German-Jewish history is documented in the collections, the library and the archive, and is reflected in the museum's program of events.
From its opening in 2001 to December 2017, the museum had over eleven million visitors and is one of the most visited museums in Germany.

Very interesting. A lot to read.. History was in very much detail. A lot of pictures. Explains exactly what happen. Expect to spend at least 2 hours if you will be reading everything. There were also some videos which helped in understanding more detail and what the people had to go through. Shows how horrible situations were back at that time. Makes you feel sorry for the people at that time and appreciate all they did for a better future.

Such a thought provoking place. Made me really appreciate my life and ability to travel. And also made me even more passionate about my belief in acceptance of other fellow humans. Don't let religion and difference divide us, let it unite us ✌

Despite a 30 minutes queue, this is definitely a worth-visiting museum. On the first floor you will get to learn about stories of Jews during the WWII and also experience the dreadful feelings of deportation thanks to the exhibitions of great artists. On the second floor, the Welcome to Jerusalem Exhibit gave lots of insights on the history of the city. Amazing travel.

This museum was an incredible experience, despite space being under construction. The insight and stories told through objects of various Jewish people was moving and well done. The architecture was stunning and bewildering. The gallery held some haunting pieces. I would definitely recommend visiting if given the chance.

1/3rd of the museum is open for 100% of the price. Literally, unless you ask- the first time you’ll realize that the majority of the museum is closed is when you try to walk up the stairs in the new building and some poor worker is standing in the middle of the steps telling people the real exhibit is closed. What a disappointment for such a beautiful building. Definitely still worth going to the small bit that’s still open...if you can get one of the discounted tickets.
