Potsdamer Platz (German: [ˈpɔtsdamɐ plats] (listen), literally Potsdam Square) is an important public square and traffic intersection in the center of Berlin, Germany, lying about 1 km (1,100 yd) south of the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag (German Parliament Building), and close to the southeast corner of the Tiergarten park. It is named after the city of Potsdam, some 25 km (16 mi) to the south west, and marks the point where the old road from Potsdam passed through the city wall of Berlin at the Potsdam Gate. After developing within the space of little over a century from an intersection of rural thoroughfares into the most bustling traffic intersection in Europe, it was totally destroyed during World War II and then left desolate during the Cold War era when the Berlin Wall bisected its former location. Since German reunification, Potsdamer Platz has been the site of major redevelopment projects.

Located in Potasdamer Platz, on top of the Kollhoff-Tower (the brown skyscraper), Panoramapunkt is a valid and cheaper alternative to the Tv Tower in Alexanderplatz. The structure is divided in 2 floors, the sky bar, a very classy (quite pricey) indoor coffee place where one can relax and enjoy the beautiful view over Berlin and the upper terrace, which is at the very top of the high rise building, at an altitude of ca. 100 meters. The wind can be quite strong, so I recommend carrying a little jacket, even during warm days. A super fast (one of the fastest in Europe apparently) elevator will take you there and the entrance fee is, as far as I remember, something between 6-10€. A nice experience in the German capital.
I found the view with the steel bars to be very disappointing. A nicer view us available from the coffee place inside. Still, for 15 euros - we were unimpressed...
Amazing tower , amazing view , there wasnt so many people like we thoughe there are going to be :)
Great view of the city. There's also a bar. The fastest elevator in Europe will take you up.
Wonderful view of whole Berlin! There are many informative posters and pictures about German history. Make sure to enjoy a drink or snack looking over the city! The downside is the price: 7,50 euros just to climb to the top. Side note: what a fast elevator!!
Great view, good cakes. Below average hot chocolate. Also, really chill, tasteful music 👍
Great views of the city. Good coffee and cake.
Great views of the city from the top viewing platform which is worth the cost to take the lift to the top. Cafe has a limited savoury selection, but a very tempting cakes and sweet tarts. Better for a coffee and sweet treat rather than lunch.
The view from Paborama Punkt was Ok in January. It is very different from Potsdamerplatz and you discover which building has garden on the rooftop. Café is often crowded, the prices were fair. The café closed after 17h. We were the last to leave the Panorama at 18h
View was wonderful. Exposition was nice and informative. The poor service at the cafe destroyed the entire experience.
