Amazing park. Good example of what makes Berlin unique with its divided past and the presence of the communist side of history. It is important for all the Western to know and understand the sacrifice of so many soldiers to liberate Berlin and finally end the war on Europe. Besides that it is a huge park, good for running, cycling and walking slowly through its long paths. Enjoy the abandoned Theme Park in the south with its eerie atmosphere, especially on Autumn-Winter.

Four stars for Warhammer fans. Typical soviet style monument. It's impressive alright, worth a visit if you're close or biking.

A beautiful park in the former East Berlin. Renting a bike to discover the park is the best because of its enormous size. Don't miss the Russian Memorial in the park - breathtakingly beautiful.

Very impressive. Shows how the Soviets memorated the war in their way. Enrich your experience by listening to Soviet music while walking around the memorial.

A wonderful park, I would say that it's the best place in Berlin in Summer .. the memorial is very huge I really like this place very much

Great state park!! Really a loooooooooot of space. In the summer you can relax and chill directly at the water or grill in the sun on the open areas. At the beginning of the park you'll find a great new food area which opened in 2017. Pretty new everything and pretty clean. The food walk has international offers, specially from South America. It's just awesome!! The price range is middle which is totally fine, cause most little snacks are handmade. Also if you want to go on a boat trip, you're right here. Great offers all over the day. If you want to relax more, go more inside the park in the direction to Plänterwald. All in all, just great and a every day summer place! Go for it!!

One of the best parks I have ever been too. The soviet memorial is amazing.

Whether you like to have a long stroll (possibly with a friend), prefer to sit on a bench or even in the grass (although in that case you should probably check for dogs' leavings first), or like to rent a boat (several different types available) to explore the water, you can do it all. On sunny days it's usually quite busy, but at least when I was there it's not too much. Sometimes there are certain events there (like open air concerts etc.) in which case the affected area can be quite packed. If unsure you might want to check beforehand to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Parts of the park are really great, also it's quite large. Unfortunately, some of the more heavily frequented parts of the park are somewhat dirty, it's too bad that this is also the parts at the Spree. If you have a (young) dog, I recommend staying away from the more popular hangout areas, since there is a lot of broken glass on the ground. It's pretty close to the train station and has some food booths, which is pretty convenient.

Awesome and huge park. Close to train station. At the beginning they have some restaurants and boats to go along the spree. The memorial is amazing as well. Summer is packed with people and if you walk further down you can rent water bicycle and canoeing.

Really nice park for early morning walks with my dog. Remember to bring a muzzle if you’re going into the memorial area. I saw some people getting ticketed for not having muzzles on their dogs when visiting the memorial.

Visitors arriving by train need more or perhaps just better signs to enable them to find their way around. We enjoyed the park, we though the Russian War Memorial to be well maintained. We like the very modest level of commercial activity.

Perfect for a relaxing walk. There are many people especially during summer so it could be too dirty to sit somewhere (when you don't have mattress) If you prefer more quite time, just cross a small road to the other side. Less people, more quiet and cleaner there. You will also find the Russian Memorial from WWW II there

Very nice moment of Russian liberation of Berlin. Main statue has become one of the world's most prominent symbols of the fight against fascism. The war crimes committed by Russian troops is a darker side also part of the history. Easily accessible by bike, which is a great way to explore Berlin. Tempelhof is the obvious next stop on a bike tour from here.

It would be perfect if it wasn't for to many people playing to loud music and also it can get really dirty sometimes. Bit overall it is a must go. Especially during the summer nights. The river is amazing and you can do all kinds of things on it.
