Well zoo is good I agree but I saw a pain in eyes of most of the animal. They were not so happy, specially the one who are alone in the cage or in the land. Animals need to be free they like to be free, panda was so sad, usually panda likes to be with other pandas to play, but we show only one panda alone they bring from China and this panda was so sad. We tried to observe Many more animals, birds, fish in aquarium.. we took very close zoomed video and try to capture the way they act in forest and in zoo... most of them were not happy. We feel good somewhere but we felt so bad most of the times. Not sure about others this is what we felt. :(

This is the best zoo in Europe and probably the best in the world. Has a great diversity in species and lots of spaces for the animals and visitors. You can’t miss the Pandas!!! One of the few zoos that have pandas in it! The Polar Bear is also a great attraction, I never thought I would see a polar bear in my life. Be sure to spend a whole day on this zoo, there is so much to see!

Had a great experience. The zoo has an interesting variety of animals (including the giant panda) and a large aquarium/terrarium. On a cold and rainy day most animals will be inside and you still have the opportunity to see them. The admission price is fair and thanks to the compactness of the zoo, you don't have to walk very far. On the other hand are the exhibits pretty small which makes me feel like the animals have very little space.

The most species rich zoo in the world. Located next to the zoo rail station in Berlin and easily accessible by local public transport from anywhere in the city. A very well kept zoo with lots of animals houses. Highlights include the monkey and great apes house and the giant pandas. Lots of historical buildings of interest like the giraffe and antelope house. Very good value for money and takes up to a day to see everything. You can buy a combination ticket for the aquarium as well.

The aquarium here is amazing. There are all kinds of sea creatures for you to goggle at. They have a huge central tank with lots of amazing deep sea fish, including sharks. And they have dozens of smaller tanks with meticulously designed flora, full of interesting creatures. It's absolutely great for kids. On the upper levels they have reptiles, amphibians, and - best of all - insects! See the creepiest ant colony EVER. I've been here 3 times and look forward to going again!

I went to this zoo to see the pandas and I wasn't disappointed. I found the layout of the zoo to be very 'walking' friendly and there are a large numbers of animals on display including some magnificent white wolves. The bears looked in superb condition and all the animals looked well cared for. This must be a very pretty zoo when all the trees and shrubs are in leaf. As already stated in another review the entrance fees are reasonable likewise the food and drink in the restaurant. Not crowded during my visit because of the cold weather.

A beautiful historic zoo that has a wide variety of animals and species from all continents. The Zoo is arranged extremely well with close up views of the different enclosures. There a many different shops, cafe's and restaurants throughout the zoo that serve high quality food. Overall I loved the experience of the zoo and would highly recommend it.

Great zoo! The animals had plenty of space, both inside and outside. There was a farm in which you could feed some animals and pet them, and they all seemed pretty happy with their lives. The restaurant, by the way, has amazing food! And the zoo is so big you can spend the entire day in it

Very good maintained zoo. Nice exhibits and animals have a lot of space. Enjoyed the pandas and the exhibition they are in. A lot of detailed information about animal welfare, natural environment and risks of extinction. Pricing is reasonable, do enjoy a drink or diner in the zoo. Quality is of German level. Enjoyed it a lot and would go here again if the opportunity is there. And do enjoy the park that survived the war (more information about the history is in the park and especially in the giraffes exhibit).

Panda's and the themed buildings surrounding are only the highlighted start. With so many species on display it differentiates itself from other capital zoos. I found the 3 level aquarium/bug house worth the time. So many spiders! Family ticket price is 51 euros and I find that a bargain for a full day of family entertainment.

Very large, great variety of animals. Staff spoke a multitude of languages which was very helpful. The layout was easily accessible. The zoo wasn't expensive either €21 for zoo and aquarium. Play area for children and could easily spend a day there!

This is a nice zoo to visit if you have the time while visiting Berlin. The prices are typical for a zoo, and there’s an attached aquarium you can visit for a few euro more (it also has reptiles, amphibians, and insects/invertebrates). They have informational signs and ticket cashiers that speak English as well. You can rent wagons and wheelchairs, if desired. They have a fairly wide variety of animal species that seem content and well cared for. Additionally, there is a free app you can download for the zoo that has a real-time map, event tracker, and general information.

This zoo is amazing. The multiple habitats for each animal, one indoor and the other other outdoor, allows you to easily spend hours in the park. Each exhibit has signs full of useful information about each and every animal in a few different languages. Also, some of the atriums are walk through, which allows you to get up close and personal with the birds. The zoo also had lounge chairs in a few different spots in which you could see multiple people laying around reading and watching the animals pass by. This was an easy 4 to 5 hour experience for us. I highly recommend it.

Nice and lovely zoo. It has a cozy and familiar feel to it and it's just perfect for children. It's well equipped and safe for everyone, and it makes for a great experience overall. Although it is nothing special, it still manages to be a great zoo, and that's why I love it!

Visited Berlin for a few days and it wasn’t actually that much to get in! I paid around €11 with the Berlin Card which is a lot cheaper than London Zoo! They have a Cat enclosure coming soon, but even so they have some lovely animals - my favourite were the elephants and giraffes. They Panda’s were great too, hopefully they will meet soon and make a baby panda! 🐼 Lots of walking to be done, so wear comfy shoes! Or you will feel like the attached picture...

Most beautiful zoo I have ever visited. It is a perfect place to visit it with children. The collection of animals and sea animals are great. For me getting to see such large variety of sea animals was a new experience. You could easily spend a day there.

A stellar zoo, pricing is reasonable and you could easily spend a whole day seeing all the sections. Entry staff speaks English quite well and the gift shop is reasonably priced for such a large Zoo. Has a panda enclosure as well. There's even a structure with writings on how the zoo handled the WWII era and other decisions it now regrets. Very introspective. Location is also stellar, with ample parking in nearby garages and a short walk to various other attractions being all that's required to see a good chunk of Berlin.

I have been in many zoos around the world and this one is definitely one of the top three zoos I have been to. No cages. You can enjoy watching animals as you go. Great place to go with kids. There is an aquarium too at zoo territory which I was quite impressed too. Plan at least three to four hours to spend at both. I was limited on time and still spend like 2 hours for a very quick overview. I wish I had more time as I love zoos and this one was definitely the one you would want to stay a little longer.

This is an extremely fun place both for children and adults alike. One gets to see a variaty of animals and at times get a very close encounter. The aquarium is a must visit. Information would recommend dedicating four hours. From our personal experience (two families with 5 children ages 2 to 12), it would be great if you can have some more time there. We spent just about six hours and had to make a shortcut so we can spend an hour and a half in the aquarium.

Great place for all ages. Would recommend going there on days when it’s not as warm since the animals were all lying down trying to rest/cool down when I went there. But overall the experience was great, it is a huge place and there are so many different animals. They also have an aquarium which is a must in my opinion. It costs a bit extra but that place is huge and has lots of reptiles, fishes and bugs you can watch. Absolutely my favorite part. There is one small downside, and that is once you’re inside the zoo, it’s cash-only in most (maybe even all) if their restaurants, or places where you can get ice cream or drinks to cool off.

One of the best experiences I've ever had. The zoo is a fantastic and a must visit place. Don't skip it if you ever visit Berlin. You need a whole day for the zoo and the aquarium because it's a huge place with so many things to see. I loved the fact that it's in the nature and most of the animals are not on a cage but free. Of course with all the security features. You can take many beautiful photos and admire the miracle and the majesty of nature.

Me and my boyfriend went to the Zoo of Berlin today. The zoo is beautiful and full of places to sit and rest. Lots of animals were active and playful, even though it was a very sunny day. The food was also great and not too expensive. We had a really great view of all animals except for the wild rare cats, that I had really hoped to get a look at.
