We took the Crystal Cave and Fantasy cave tours and enjoyed both. Definitely a different feel from one cave to the next and a lot more super crystal clear water in Crystal caves. You can see higher ceilings in the Fantasy caves and it feels like there is more open space in that one. I definitely recommend as a to do while in Bermuda. It does get a bit balmy in the caves, so you are usually good with a t-shirt down there.
Definitely see these caves if you are in Bermuda. They are beautiful. We only toured the Crystal Caves based on a recommendation, and I think this was sufficient given the price. Our tour guide was very good. Only complaint is that the tour was relatively short, so you don’t get as much time as you want in the caves, but appreciate that this is because it’s such a popular attraction.
These caves are definitely worth checking out if you visit Bermuda. Reservations are not required. They will tell you to wait a bit until they have enough people for a tour. (We waited 15 minutes till a couple showed up and they did a tour for the 4 of us.) Waiting times are not bad and probably don't exist during their busy season since they can have as many as 800 people a day. The tour guides are entertaining and tell you all about the cave's history.
Both caves are great, but visitors probably only need to see one or the other. I preferred Crystal even though it was smaller. The reflection of the water is beautiful.
Crystal cave is beautiful. The cave is deep (500 meters long and 62 meters deep). The tickets cost $22pp (Jan 2018). It has easy access into the cave. The formations (stalactites and stalagmites) and the prestine clear water is breathtaking. Well worth it. Also, the guides are very friendly.
The crystal caves are absolutely fantastic and worth every minute spent inside. We had a terrific guide- charming, funny, witty, and knowledgeable! He made the experience memorable. Fantasy caves seemed underwhelming after that. They're much smaller and the 88 steps going into it were the only remarkable feature, I thought.
It's a cave. Not a bad experience for the price, rather dull. If I had young children I would definitely take them here. Easy walk, short tour. I only did one of the two available caves.
Great tour of Bermuda's tourist attraction! The tour guides are really helpful and funny! They let you take pictures and give great explanations. I recommend to do both tours! One of them was where Beyonce's music video took place!
This a really neat cave in Bermuda. It goes way below the ground and you'll see rock formations you've never seen before on land. It's a neat experience, perhaps even a tad unnerving because of the low lighting and complete absence of sound. Certainly geology-lovers will be in heaven.
Great way to spend an hour. The caves are beautiful & the guides are friendly & hilarious (as is the rest of Bermuda). If you're driving around, you could easily stop here as part of a full day of activity
Was a wonderful experience deep in the heart of Bermuda. We elected to go through the Crystal Caves as it was our first time going and walking on water bridges sounded like an awesome way to see what is otherwise a difficult trip to see what we saw. Our rough voiced guide was awesome and very frank. Educating us not only on the history of the cave but also what has gone into maintaining it. It was well lit, well labeled and even well ventilated... Nice. When we return it'll be the Fantasy Caves for us!
You are certain to have a wonderful experience exploring the natural wonder that is the Crystal Caves of Bermuda. All the guides were experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to the history of the caves and the science behind how they are formed. My guide was Uniqueco and he was friendly, courteous, and willing to answer any questions we had not only about the caves, but about Bermuda in general. There are two caves: The Crystal Cave and the Fantasy Cave. I only had the opportunity to visit the Crystal Cave, the walk was not too grueling and most who are able to handle stairs without issue should be able to journey the 83 steps to the bottom. At the entrance of the cave there is a fairly steep incline ramp which is before the main steps leading to the bottom. This part can be slightly hazardous as the cave has water dripping from the rocks above which wets the ramp. They tour guides remind all visitors repeatedly to use the hand-rails and the ramp is carpeted to absorb some of the water. This is definitely a must-visit location if you are ever in Bermuda.
The cave is truly stunning. Best cave I’ve been to by far. However, the tour is rather short. Also, they way overbooked our day, which led to a lot of crowding and tripping over each other. That was annoying and probably not good for the cave, since any tripping could have led to touching formations and killing them. The tour guide was pretty knowledgeable, which was nice.
Definitely worth the trip. Gorgeous formations and patient and entertaining guides. We went today and our tour guide Mali was extremely patient and kind with my mother who is battling cancer and was having difficulty climbing the stairs. He was great!
The guide was very knowledgeable. He was able to answer every question that was asked. The Cave was extraordinary. My husband and I are still sharing our experiences there
Well worth the drive (about half an hour from our ship) and the ticket price ($22 each) for our family of four. The stories the tour guide tells you are interesting, historical and fun. I recommend arriving as early to opening as possible. We got off the ship quickly and rode a taxicab over.
There are two caves, and a lot of steps. Very pretty, if fairly basic as far as caves go. Just beware, it is incredibly humid and wasnt a break from the hot like I expected. If you don't have the time to do both, then doing just the Crystal cave is fine. Fantasy is interesting, but not dissimilar enough to regret missing.
This was one of my favorite adventures in my Flight Attendant life so far. I truly enjoyed my experience! Lenny was my guide and he made the tour so much fun. I look forward to coming back and visiting fantasy cave next time!
