Oakwell Hall is an Elizabethan manor house in Birstall, West Yorkshire, England. The Grade I listed hall is set in period gardens surrounded by 110 acres (0.45 km2) of country park.
Love this local country park. So many different waking routes with the family. Just make sure you bring some wellies when it's wet! Our girls love waking through the wood and then stopping off at the café at the top for some cake! The playgrounds are suitable for all ages too which is a nice reward for the long walk.
Great park, great walks and rides with the kids - too many dogs, but you've gotta walk 'um somewhere right?!
An excellent Elizabethan Manor house, with a park land gardens and a visitors car park. This building has featured in productions for both the big and small screens. Most recent of which were the BBC's "Gunpowder" and "Jonathon Strange and Mr.Norrell."

Lovely tranquil place. Good walking place. Lovely cafe.
Lovely historic place. Knowledgeable & friendly staff
There are a couple of car-parks, we used the one near the Hall. There are excellent toilets in the courtyard. There is an honesty box by the carpark. There are a variety of walks on the site. On some, access for wheel chair users is via a RADAR key. There are formal gardens. The cafe has some provision for those who are gluten free. This is a very good facility!
Very very well preserved. Beautiful in spring and summer. Wonderful flowers and a great place to have a walk. So peaceful with the birds singing and minimum traffic noise. Definitely recommend a visit.

Great wedding venue. The barn was fantastic for a reception, but not sure how good it would be in poor weather?
