I've recently moved to Blackpool and decided to visit Stanley Park. It is a fairly large park and there will be something for everyone. I was on my way through to the hospital and entered through the West Entrance. Seems to be a variety of things to do in the summer. Alas I visited on a cold and wet day, but noticed the Italian Gardens and view from the cafe - a sort of retro feel to it. I was surprised by how busy it was. Plenty of parking. Recommend on a nice day!
Fabulous, well maintained Victorian park. Plenty of interest and variety of landscapes providing us with a pleasant excuse for a couple of hours walking. Cormorants and Heron (spelling???) on the lake were spectacular to see in an urban environment. Impressed!!
A must for any visitor to Blackpool. If you have the time and want a peaceful walk. With cafe, boating lake.bird reserve, then this is the place. Stunning gardens to sit and enjoy
Love the place just go be aware that the fishing is Syndicate for night fishing and Day Ticket (dawn till dusk) it's not free fishing.....only issue is visitors leaving litter....there's plenty of bins....great for dog walking....jogging .....bmx and photography
Stanley Park is a great place for the whole family. A great model village inside the park itself,. Around £4 entry gets you in and walk around the village, can take photos and videos, a bit of vlogging is great for sharing. Accessable by public transport from Blackpool Town centre, around a 20 minute journey.
Nice big park, good place for walking and with a dog. Good park for playing Pokémon GO if you are into that. Good amount of poke stops and gyms.
Fantastic park. Excellent food in the pavilion. Great fun for all the family.
Something for everyone at Stanley park. Swing & play area for children. All weather sports, skateboard area. Boating on the park lake, motor, rowing & pedal boats. Art deco licensed cafe, bowling greens & miniture/crazy golf courses. Excellent floral displays in the different gardens, expansive green areas for pic-nics & sunbathing. There are several glass hot-houses featuring many unusual & tropical plants. A bandstand, situated near the lake often features entertainment & live bands.
An absolutely lovely step back in time to the heyday of parks. Wonderfully maintained spaces and formal garden areas. Free parking adjacent to a fantastic cafe where you can prebook a traditional afternoon tea.
Really great park, great open spaces and sports facilities. Wonderful for walking dogs. Great lake with beautiful birds to enjoy. Clean and well maintained.
Lovely space. BUT avoid the toilets. They are the dirtiest most disgusting Ill maintained I have come across outside Asia!
Returned here for first time in over 50 years and was so impressed with how it looks. Art Deco cafe with great food and excellent service, cannot fault location. Gardens are beautiful and there is plenty for the kids to see and do. Award winning park and well worth the visit.
An incredible place. Beautiful scenery with a huge lake you can walk around. We take the dogs most days. There is so much to do here. Beautiful food, boat rides, play park, skate park, BMX track, etc.
Great park. Difficult to believe your just outside the town centre. Plenty to do for all plenty to see. Lovely well kept park
Plenty of open space and flat, good for walking or relaxing. Great place for botanists and naturalists. And it is next to Blackpool zoo.
Very enjoyable afternoon spent here. We had a late picnic lunch, found a picnic table in amongst some trees. Which was a relief from the heat we are experiencing, this summer. There is a lake, where byou can hire a rowing boat and very attractive gardens. Enjoyed a delicious 99 ice-cream. Well worth a visit for young and old alike. There was a children's play ground and a bowling green. The Italian garden had at its centre an attractive fountain.
For an indulgent treat, I can really recommended their Pavlova! The first time we shared one, but ever after we just had to have one each! They're too good to share.
Had a lovely walk round in the sun and kids played on the swings etc. Shame some areas could do with a facelift , especially the crazy golf and hut. I remember when the flower clock was always impressive as well. Overall still worth going to.
Stanley Park is Blackpool's jewel in the crown, It is simply outstanding, beautiful lake, lawns and gardens well maintained, a lovely cafe serving hot and cold snacks and of course ice creams. I wish all parks looked as awesome as this one does.
