Mini-Mal is doing a great job at being a creative kitchen and showcasing exotic Colombian ingredients. This extraordinary restaurant has been around for 17 years and they offer exciting and creative food. They do excellent compositions of flavors. We ordered a “Citric Soup” with lemongrass, crispy rice balls and mushrooms, a Colombian interpretation of Thai Tom Kha Gai, but really well done. We also had a mix of seafood on a coconut “cocada” and a meat and salad entree. I am yearning to go back and try more of their creative dishes.
Tried the beef Curry and it was heavily seasoned to my liking. The house salad was unnecessarily sweet. Tried the catch of the day as well. The wine sauce tasted under reduced as I was still getting a lot of the alcoholic taste from the wine.
A nice little gem of the path. Nice amazonian influence and freshness second to none! Emmanuel did a great job on showing us thru the menu.
Delicious Creole / Caribbean style food in Bogota. The restaurant looks like a personal residence that was converted into a restaurant. It's small but intimate. This place does accept credit cards for payment. Highly recommend this place!!
Food was good but not outstanding and the service wasn't particularly great. Also they were lacking shrimp (camarones) so there were a lot of dishes we couldn't even order. However the overall experience isn't bad and the dishes we could order were tasty and very well presented. Particularly the lomo was super juicy and tender. They also offer an amuse bouche on the house made of different types of squash that was delicious(pink pic). I'll come back and give it another try.
A friend who's living in Colombia for over five years recommended the place. Delicious food (had braised beef with a Chili sauce and ant croutons), very friendly service and beautiful interior. Apparently their specialty is a fusion of various Colombian cuisines. Highly recommended!
Tasty fusion Colombian food in a small and funky venue in Chapinero. Highly recommend the seafood starter with chewy coconut as well as the ceviche! Make a reservation as it can get busy. If you're looking for more tips on Bogota or Colombia, check out our blog @ The Unconventional Route.
The place is a little crowded with the current number of tables. My suggestion would be to remove some chairs where the space doesn't allow it. The waiter needs to improve a little with the explanations of the menu. Regardless of the previous suggestions it's a good place. The food is original and delicious.
This Amazonian fusion restaurant is incredible! We tried to be adventurous and had the stingray ceviche which was great. We also had a scallop dish that was phenomenal. Service is great and the chef is truly talented. The restaurant is pretty small so you might want to try and come during off peak hours.
