The Church of the Holy Cross (French: Église Sainte-Croix) is a Roman Catholic church located in Bordeaux, southern France.
It was formerly the church of a Benedictine abbey founded in the 7th century, and was built in the late 11th-early 12th centuries. The façade is in the Romanesque architectural style.

A great medieval style church not very far from the Train Station. I recommend it greatly as it gives a great first impression of the wonderful city of Bordeaux

Nice during the day and at night. Art work on the wall should not be overlook.

One of my favourite churches in Bordeaux, the actual building dates from the XI century but the abbey was founded in the VII. I would recommend including it when visiting Saint Michel's square; the street in between, Camille Sauvageau, is just great!
