Really interesting old castle. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Bratislava. Lovely little pub for a coffee or a pint right next to it too. It's only €2 for entry. It's quite steep so wouldn't recommend it if you can't walk far/long, also don't get the bus if you're not a great walker. It's only €6 for an Uber and it's a bit of a walk from the bus stop.

It is a nice castle or fortification to visit. During the winter season is cold and windy and in compensation the prices as low (2€). As most of the castles and fortifications, its location is strategic and the the views of the Danube river are amazing. Going to the upper part in the hill, there is also an old cemetery and ruins of a church and also there is magnificent place to see also the Danube. Worth to visit it.

Not so distant from Bratislava, there are some buses to reach it from the city center. There's a little museum and a bucolic view on the border with Austria across the river. Great choice if you're spending more than one day in Bratislava. You can have a walk among some firm animals and also taste typical food and beers in one of the restaurant nearby. Children will love it.

Castle ruins on the outskirts of town. You can see 80% of it without climbing stairs if you have mobility issues, but it is all uphill so be warned. I would have given it another star but the upper defenses were closed for repairs.

It was a rather anticlimactic experience as a large section of it was closed for maintenance. It took probably less than 30-40 minutes to walk through. Perhaps it's a different feel in the summer without the maintenance closure.

Amazing place in a place where Morava becomes a part of Danube. The only problem is that is closes quite early at 5pm so be sure to plan ahead since it's really worth visiting. Views from the high castle are amazing and underground chambers offer quite a interesting view on history of the castle. Entrance is quite cheap so don't think twice about it.

Very nice place with excellent views to the rivers. It is located in just 15 minutes by bus (No29) from the city centre of Bratislava. It is family-friendly. There are few places for food and drinks, but weekends they are full with people. I would recommend you to take water with you.

A beautiful historic site with wonderful scenery. You can see the remains of buildings from the Roman Empire times. The castle is situated on top of a hill, from which you can see Austria and two rivers that meet at the point. The country border goes in the middle of the river.

As soon as we got there we were meet by one of the most rudest women I've come across in this country, shouting and demanding things from me in a langue I clearly didn't speak, lucky they had a normal human lady that was lovely and tried her very best to help the situation. Finally after what felt like half an hour things started to progress and we finally got to go view the castle. It was really not bad however I wouldn't bother to do it again as the confrontation with that beast of a women ruin the whole experience.

This is a definite must if visiting Bratislava. The first Sunday of each month they have a medieval fair which includes axe throwing bow and arrow shooting. There is a jousting show and everyone is in traditional costumes set in the time. This is truly a great place to take the family and to wander around. The castle itself is also very good to walk around it has a little Museum within the castle and is very informative. It also has breathtaking views of the surrounding areas including Austria.

Direct bus (29) to the proximity of the castle - 15 minutes of walk from it. Big area of grass, but also interesting ruins. It has an old Christian church, but it is rebuilt, not much of the original place. A donkey was near the church's door. Worths a visit, being not so crowded place. 5 € entrance fee

Even though it is very old and in ruins, the parts that are renovated are very nice. Actually, the ruins give a kind of romantic feeling. There are very interesting expositions at the castle. All in all I would recommend the visit.
