Love this place! If only the walls could talk and we knew the building s full history!
Lovely to see these old buildings being preserved . Fantastic welcome and talk from Ken also.
This is an interesting local gem and one of, if not the, oldest houses in Bridgend. Originally a house owned by the Knights Hospitaller of St John, it has an outer metal gate showing their white cross on a black background. The trust’s job is to keep this building in good repair and out of the hands of developers. They host open days on the last Saturday of every month at which anyone is welcome. These days often include some “living history” that can involve bread making, candle making, archery and suchlike. Definitely worth a visit. I suggest you take follow the link above, to their website. It really is interesting reading.
