Bridlington is a coastal town and a civil parish on the Holderness Coast of the North Sea in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is about 28 miles (45Â km) north of Hull and 34 miles (55Â km) east of York. The Gypsey Race enters the North Sea at its harbour. The 2011 Census gave a parish population of 35,369.
As a sea-fishing port, it is known for shellfish, and is the largest lobster port in Europe, with over 300 tonnes of the crustaceans landed there each year. It has been termed the "Lobster Capital of Europe". Alongside manufacturing, retail and service firms, its main trade is summer tourism. It holds one of the UK's coastal weather stations. The Priory Church of St Mary and associated Bayle (or gate) are Grade I listed buildings on the site of an Augustinian Priory.
Great place to take kids swimming. Has 2 big slides, one where you can go together and is a little slower and one which is faster. The faster slide is has a timer, so if you want to compete with family and friends you can. Only negative is the best score is unbeatable (confirmed by lifeguard). It also has a smaller shallower section for younger kids with a big bucket splasher, a smaller slide and lots of water shooters. The smaller shallower pool feeds into a deeper pool, aimed for pre teens 8+ or younger but accompanied by an adult. There is also a full size swimming pool for adults.

We only went to the swimming area (so I'm unsure of the rest) but the pools were fab! One big pool where people were doing laps, another medium pool with families in which lead to an area that got more shallow the further out you went. 2 big slides, most adults where going on haha! One medium slide and 2 little ones, lots of little play stations. Amazing family day out for all ages

Brilliant day out with the family. Lots to do from crab fishing off the harbour jettys to eating fish and chips in and around the harbour. Take a pirate ship tour out to sea for as little as 2 quid or even have a ride on a speed boat for 4 quid. On the pier you will find amusements and fair ground rides which cost around 5 tokens each at 50p a token and at the end of the pier outside the swimming pool there's a mini train that takes you all the way to the cliffs and gardens for 3 quid return. Not too over bearing with loads of arcades like Ingoldmells! Just enough of everything to please all ages of the family.

Good kids pool other than a bit to much spraying water and a stupid "big splash" bucket that affects all the small slides and most of the really shallow areas. This scared both of our likes ones (2 & 3 1/2) repeatedly so that they took a lot of persuading to get to try the slides and always keeping a worried eye on it. Potentially this is dangerous to babies in the shallows.

Recently reopened, and well worth a visit. Not too big, but catering for a wide range of fitness activities at reasonable prices. The pool is very good with a full pool plus splash zone and baby/beginners area.
