A local museum that packs a real punch. Arts 'n' Crafts, local history, design and fashion. Special Exhibits. The two Brighton Galleries are a fun overview of our diverse City - past and present. Set in beautiful gardens. Free admission for local residents.

Our visit was a very pleasant one for a few reasons. Firstly, we really loved the variety of items, from strange furniture to exotic masks and that there are some items you can touch or try on yourself. Secondly, there were not many people around at the time and we were able to take our time when looking at exhibits or taking pictures. Thirdly, staff there were nice and helpful, which is always a bonus. PS Four stars only because of some parts of the exhibition closed to our disappointment.

I think this is probably one of my most favourite museums in England. It's very accessible in here with an disabled toilet and entrance! Also there is a lift to the second floor with a cafe with a good selection of cake.

Good permanent collection we went for the Gluck exhibition and it was worth the trip. Friendly and helpful staff. Great day out.

Small but great museum with a variety of items and some interesting bits about Brighton history. There's always some new additional exhibition as an extra.

World class museum with well displayed exhibits and a changing programme of exhibitions. Friendly and helpful staff in the currators room which is open to visitors too.

Very eclectic museum with lots of different exhibitions, so there's something for everyone. The "Museum of Transology" exhibition was a particular highlight, with a wonderfully curated selection of stories of transgender individuals and their experiences. It was beautifully emotive and very informative, and the visitors' label tree was very hopeful. There were also two opportunities for some dressing up and interactive exhibits for kids. Would recommend getting the "history pass" ticket, which gets you into the Pavilion and Preston Manor as well.

Brighton is lovely seaside city. In addition to the piers for great views of the sea, day and night, there are lots of historic buildings housing museums and galaries as well as restaurants. I really enjoyed my short visit there a few years back.

Mixture of eccentric & conventional works of art. Contains strings of hystory. Do recommend to visit! Friendly staff!

Lovely, professional staff. Located in the transport hub of Brighton. The building makes great use of natural lighting. Altogether an inclusive place.

We came to see the Gilbert and George exhibition and it blew my mind. I'd never seen any of theirs prior to this so it did take me by surprise in the best way. The one which shows them drunk having spent the night in a local pub with all the wee pictures is fantastic that was my favourite. My partner loved this also and we both spent all our afternoon gazing at them. This was on a free day which I think is fantastic letting those who can't really afford to see art in.

Lovely museum set in a pretty old building. We were lucky and it was a free day when we visited. Enjoyed the exhibitions including Gilbert and George.
