Beautiful place to spend the morning or afternoon. Great historical place with a guided tour when open. Also has great views of the Brisbane river.

A very informative place to visit. There ate alot of historical pieces of furniture and also the history of the house has been well documented. The lush gardens on The Brisbane River are also a delight.

One of Brisbanes oldest homesteads. Worth a visit. Stroll through the grounds taking in the manicured lawns and gardens. Situated on the Brisbane River.

Newstead House is a gem for a tour of an iconic historical house. Learn about the history of Brisbane through the people who lived there. Book a public tour on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Great gardens and historic park right on Brisbane River. Worth a picnic or visit just for the views.

Restored colonial era house which is now a museum offering guided tours. It gives an interesting insight into Brisbane history and settler life, as well as acknowledging the impact of settlement on the indigenous people. Original period furnishing. Located in a park on the banks of the Brisbane river.

Nice spot for a stroll and/or picnic. Can't help but think what it would have been like 50 years ago with the heavy traffic passing by but nevertheless a lovely starting point for a river walk.

Beautiful Historic building overloking the Brisbane River. Plenty of park ground to enjoy a picnic lunch after. Amazing building. Worth a visit.
