The Shrine of Remembrance is located in ANZAC Square, between Ann Street and Adelaide Street, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. With its 'Eternal Flame', the Shrine is a war memorial dedicated to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (Anzacs).
The Shrine of Remembrance is a major Brisbane landmark of cultural, architectural and historic importance and is a key component of the Queensland Heritage listed square and annually hosts ceremonies for ANZAC Day and Armistice Day (now referred to as Remembrance Day). A service marking Singapore Day (The Fall of Singapore, 15 February 1942) is held annually on the closest Sunday to the 15th, in remembrance of the losses of the 8th Division during World War 2.

A beautiful memorial for some of the bravest people to ever walk this earth. Thank you Brisbane for this amazing land mark.

Very well maintained memorial park in the heart of Brisbane to pay your respect to all the fallen heroes of Australia and its allies. There is also a museum under the memorial structure, where you can learn more about the events too.

A respectful place to remember and reflect. Good to see a facelift in process.

Beautiful relaxing area in the heart of the city. Has lots of laying down chairs for you to have a tan also lots of cafes and restaurants if you prefer a indoor relaxation.

My first ANZAC Day in Brisbane. While it was full and I highly recommend getting there early, it was a very dignified place. A terrific service made special by the attendance of my niece and nephew with their families. Thanks Brissie. A great space. So do yourself a favour

Purely for sight seeing. Best to visit at night as there's a 'eternal flame' in the center( fire is barely visible in the day time) There are many shopping centers close to it as well. Sadly there is construction near the place making it a little difficult to walk around the area. Giving 5 stars because to me this place is only for sight seeing and it's something you dun see everyday UNLESS u live close by.

A marvellous memorial to the fallen who sacrificed so much during the wars. Convenient location right across Ann Street from Central Station. Striking eternal flame and statues of soldiers and nurses. Well-maintained lawns and several benches provide spaces for people to relax and contemplate.
