Excellent family day out. Despite getting busy is well maintained, particularly the change rooms under the beer garden. Water Play area at the far end is very imaginative

It's a really great spot and it is also good for families. My kids are a bit older now and have lost interest in the kiddy pool, but if you have a toddler or baby, they will love it. Don't try to park for free, wherever you go, you are going to need to pay something whether it is on the street or in a parking building. The public transport by either bus or train is quite good though.

Why drive to the Gold / Sunshine Coast when you've got access to this beauty of a beach right at South Bank? Great place to relax and nice views of the Brisbane river and city. BBQ areas and plenty of attractions nearby too - if you're in Brisbane visiting, definitely come for a swim.

An artificial beach constructed on the banks of the river. Ideal for a day out with kids. The waters are shallow and safe for children. Very well maintained. A must visit if in the vicinity.

Just love this place... So good to have an oasis like this in the heart of the city.

Great for kids. Great place for everyone. Never expected a public sand swimming pool in the very busy south bank of Brisbane.

A great inner-city beach! Brilliant views of Brisbane River and the CBD whilst lounging about the beach and water. I tend to go early in the day between 8 - 10 as so to miss the crowds. It can get very busy! Despite the constant crowds, the beach is well maintained. In fact, in the early morning you can see plenty of workers buzzing around cleaning the water and fluffing the sand. Brilliant!

You need words to describe what you feel in this beautiful place in the heart of Brisbane. Here you can find a place to relax and be alone with your thoughts, come to sunbathe, take a bath or just spend an afternoon with friends and barbecue. Undoubtedly an oasis in the heart of the city that you should visit without forgetting its surroundings and gardens.

An amazing place in the city. Kept my daughter entertained for hours. Not many shady spots so make sure you arrive at a decent time to grab one.

It's an artificial beach in SouthBank, near to the city centre of Brisbane. It's gorgeous because on the background you can see the all the skyline of Brisbane. The sand is white and limpid. Really peaceful and quiet.

A nice oasis in the middle of the city. But if you have time, I would recommend to go beach or Isla around Brisbane, as it has so many nice places around the cost and islands close to the city.

Favourite place in Brisbane all time. First day, i couldn't resist the urge to wade in the waters at Street Beach, had a fun time there. Street Beach can be divided into 4 different pools if i'm not wrong. First some swimming pool of sorts, second the man--made beach( with pretty fine sand that squeaks when walked on top), next a pool area for kids( the kind with water spouts and stuff) and lastly an area of water with rocks at the bottom which i suppose makes up the floor. Have no idea what kind of devil came up with this design, might as well put legos in the pool as well. However besides just the beach and the pools, there are a few events going on around there as well. For example if you go in the winter, there will be some kind of snow for kids event ( not sure what is this as i am not a kid and i don't have a kid so i didn't go to the event, but it seemed pretty popular). Also you can have a picnic there as well, saw alot of people doing that. Furthermore, they have parking nearby the area as well which is a plus for people that drive (Roadside Parking near restaurants.). Went there for a total of 3 days as it was truely and awesome place. Also if you go in the night time there will be fancy lights at the pool area which are quite captivating.

Large man-made beach in the Southbank Parklands. Aside from the white sand beach, they also had a water park for younger kids. I can easily see it getting packed during summer.

The best (and only?) beach in Brisbane city. It gets really crowded when the weather is good, which is almost every day.
