Worthy of a look inside and also into the crypt. The painting of the church is truly a piece of art but as a non believer the payment of money to see the blood cloth watched over by an old priest and a mafiosa henchman is a bit too commercial for me.

We came here for a mass on Sunday at 11:00 and there was a quire from England visiting and it was something special. The church itself is beautiful and worth a visit. The church contains the relic of the blood of Christ. The priest gets angry if you try to sneak in a picture of the relic :-)

Stubbled on this one evening, what a find. I'm sure it's in every guide book, and i know they visit it in 'the film' - but we were ignorantly wandering around and it was a breathtaking find. Visit it as late as possible to avoid tourist crowds and to best experience the dimly lit wonder and atmosphere. The place felt very sacred and special, more so because the small number of guests were silent and respectful. A must see while in Bruges.

This place is awesome! It has that spiritual vibe. The entrance is free, the interior is more than nice. This is a must when visiting this place.

'The Basilica of the Holy Blood is not a touristical attraction' was heard over the speakers in a booming voice, as 5 of.us, all touristicals walked in. If you want to see Jesus's blood, then this is the place to go. Pay a donation, walk up and look at it, if you believe it, or even if you don't! I've done it once a few years.ago and wouldn't bother again as I'm an atheist.

Extremely beautiful for a free tour. The treasury room is definately worth paying for. It offers a humble collection of delicate relics worth seeing. Also the staff is very respectful, as they expect you to show respect for what you see in return.

Well depending of the season you may have to wait on the line for a verrrry long time in order to get in front of the holy blood thing. It's a very nice church and is close to the city center so it's easy to visit it without changing any plans. I really like the vitro work on the Church as well as the entrance/staircase to the church. There is also a little museum on the Church but I never had the chance to visit. Also Bellow the church there is anotjeuch darker and sompler but very atmospheric church that you could visit :)

If you enjoy churches or architecture, this one is small, but very special. The stained glass is stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere of the building is really an experience, even if you are not Christian. The story of the order of the Holy Blood is also fascinating. The only thing I can't necessarily recommed is the adjacent 'museum' which is actually just one room with a couple of things too look at. Yes, it's only 2,50 EUR, but still...considering you can look at the cool stuff for free, we were a bit disappointed.

Crypt below (free entrance) is simple granite with some emotive sculptures of Christ. The Basilica upstairs (free entrance) is superbly ornate with lead light windows and a sculptural pastiche in front of the relic storage (ie the blood of Christ). The small museum costs eu2:50 to enter.

Nice small church with the blood of Jesus Christ on a small piece of cloth rolled up in a glass tube. If you want to see it, go around 2pm+, go up the stairs and join the queue. No photos allowed once you are nearing the platform. It's kind of expected of you to donate some money to see the blood. There's supposedly some museum downstairs but we didn't go

Very beautiful church which has the vessel with the Jusus Blood. Church also has small but splendid Museum. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

A beautiful small church in the heart of Brugge hystorical center. The building is so well preserved, it takes you back many centuries, like in a marvelous travel tale. Amazing wall paitings and stained glasses. The Christ relic might not be genuine, nevertheless it’s a story worth seeing.

A beautiful and moving experience visiting this Basilica. I was pushing my elderly mother in a wheelchair and it was brilliantly accessible! Thankyou.

Impressive historic site even if you're not interested in the relic itself. The single room museum gives a good impression of how important the relic has been for the town.
