A very positive experience. From the beautiful building to the detailed history of comic strips in general to the specific look at the Belgian-flemish contribution, it was a learning experience. Lovely to be to view so many different pieces of contemporary Belgian comic art as well. Solidly recommended.

There is a free tour which is nice and the museum is really pretty and well organized. I'd say it's more for the fans of Belgian comics, since they emphasize on that. It's too theoretical, mostly about the history behind comics and less about showing you more. Not for everyone. Kids wouldn't enjoy it.

If you are interested about comic history in Europe I really recommend this place, there's lot's of cool stuff about Asterix and Obelix, Piko and Fantasio, Smurffs and Tintin etc. There's also comic shop but books are mostly in french but you can find other cool stuff like mugs and statues in there.

The museum is hosted in a beautiful Art Nouveau building. The permanent exhibition shows a history of Comics, mainly focused on Europe, and gives elementary information on how comics are built. The museum is enjoyable by a vast public. Everything is explained in English, but it is useful to know some French in order to enjoy the comic strips shown in the panels. The museum includes a library with comic books in different languages which is freely accessible by the visitors.

Designed as a fabric shop by Vector Horta, now hosts museum. Ground floor is free to visit but you should buy a ticket for the main exhibition which changes overtime. The style is art neauvea, with mosaic floor, iron columns and glass ceiling. there is a restaurant, toilet and a little shop on the ground d floor

For an entrance of 10 Euro you would imagine going into a world of fantasy. it lacks decoration, it is not really fun... and not worth paying the entrance. The building is very nice and you might just want to come to the entrance to get your picture taken with a Smurf

As someone who grew up on Tintin, the Brussels Comic Book Museum was an essential stop. The building is beautifully constructed, the exhibits are thorough and well-designed, the shop has enticing items for collectors, and the library is extremely thorough.

Interesting but small museum with just a few of the interesting cartoon and a lot of totally unknown at least to me.

From the point you enter the museum till the point you go out, it feels like you have entered your own fantasy land and all you can see all around you is well organised and well preserved comics! The only problem is that there are very few well known comics and lots of small ones that I didn’t recognise. I would still recommend it 👍

I didn't find this very informative or interesting. Unless you are super into comic books, you can safely skip this. Also, despite the big Tintin rocket and other Tintin models and sculptures, there is nothing in here about Tintin and his creator. The top floor was dedicated to some Chinese propaganda about the greatness of China and chinese "cartoons" when I visited.

This was a bit of a disappointment. In the foyer they have things related to Tintin, Smurfs, Asterix, Boule et Bill, lucky luke and other favorite belgo-gallic comics. But once you paid your fee, there was very little of the big names and it was all more obscure comics. I enjoyed it, but the friend I took with me who is less into his comics got bored pretty quickly.

Good collection and narrative on comics. It has a good focus on Tintin and Smurfs. Would have given 5 stars if it had more on Tintin. Overall, a great pace for kids and adults who would like to know more about comics.

Interesting place with a lot of background knowledge on comics and their genesis. Beautiful old building with lots of space. Also the interesting changing exhibitions Make a visit always worthwhile.
