The Bois de la Cambre (French: [bwa d(ə) la kɑ̃bʁ]) or Ter Kamerenbos (Dutch) is an urban public park in Brussels, Belgium. It lies in the south of the Brussels-Capital Region, in the municipality of the City of Brussels, and covers an area of 1.23 km2 (0.47 sq mi), forming a natural offshoot of the Sonian Forest, which penetrates deep into the city in the south-east of Brussels. It is linked to the rest of the municipality by the Avenue Louise/Louizalaan, which was built in 1861, at the same time the park was laid out.
The park consists of two large, slightly oval parts. The northern part is the most wooded and is home to some 19th-century buildings. The southern part comprises a 6 hectares (15 acres) large artificial lake with an island in its centre, called Robinson Island, home to the Chalet Robinson.
Beautiful, large & maintained park, ideal place to spend time with friends or family. Lovely forest, ducks & birds singing. Many places to have coffee, ride a bike or go for a walk. If you have time, I recommend a visit. You won't regret. 😎

Lovely and vast park/wood with a lake in Brussels: walk, cycle, jog or just rest. With 2 restaurants and a theater. Portable BBQ tolerated near the lake. Some roads closed to car traffic during WE -> skate possible.

It is great for picnics and family walks. The park is also great to take your dog.

Super nice place to go for a jog or relax in the summer. They block the traffic in the week-end if weather is good, and organise events from time to time. Enjoy a nice (but expensive) meal at Chalet Robinson. Good for running, biking, skating, or playing with children

A nice park where you can walk, bike, jog, skate. Cafeteria(s) around (one in the middle of a pond - chalet Robinson).

LOVE IT. Beautiful parc, with the pond in the middle. Ideal for a quick run or relax with your loved ones and enjoy the weather.

Beautiful park, the street going through the park is fortunately closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

A nice parc at the border of the city. Very extensive, with a pond that includes an island with a restaurant reachable only by small boats. It's perfect for jogging or other sports en plein air as well as little hikes, also in the dark. Well kept.

Wonderful place! So many green areas and paths to wonder on. We spent two hours here but we could easily have spent 10.

Kinda boring and badly organised. too many ducks. it's too loud. this is supposed to be a relaxing place. Very enjoyable

Lush green park, light-dappled woods, a restaurant in the middle of a lake... great for walks, for a run, for a picnic, for games or just lying and watching the world go by. And with good links to public transport you can get there easily and quickly from the city centre (and it comes in handy on Sundays when the roads through the woods are closed to cars).

Wouldn't it be great if the communes of Brussels could organise to clean up the lakes/pond get rid of all the green sludge and algae. Get the fountains working and some flow of clean fresh water. The surroundings are great but please people the water feature which should be central to the theme is a disgrace.

Very nice park, amazing to visit with a family or beloved one. Great place for jogging. Enjoyed it a lot

One of my favourite spots in Brussels! Part of its green lungs. Gorgeous nature, nice romantic-architecture style lake and non-natural grottos. This park definitely breaths history, as it was the go-to place for the aristocrats to spend their free time. Now however, everyone can -and should- enjoy it!

Really beautiful place to spend and entire day if you look for a space to have a sleepy day of rest, take a nap or spend an healty day of outdoor exerxises and jogging inside the nature. The park has a lot of outdoor machines where you can do your "outdoor-workout", a really long series of street where you can run without the danger of cars (even if during the weekend, the streets around are getting closed) linked with the beautiful forest, ideal therefore for a long walk. Cleaning and respect for nature is the first thing that you can notice once inside, in fact the green reigns. Dogs are welcome, and probably they will like it!

Nice big park with a mixture of open grass and forest areas. Great to have a walk in but a lot of parts are near busy roads.

Beautiful big forrest where you can come to rest! I love this place so much!!

It's a very modern, but still nature-y park, perfect for a walk, a stroll, a nap or a picnic. Huge canopies make for large shaded places and the grass is tended to, so you'll have plenty of nice places to lay down a picnic blanket and get some grub out. The lake and the overal serenity of the place make it a worthwhile destination for young and old alike.

Great big park for a long walk. Not really crowded with a lot of more quiet places to go :)
