The Church of Our Blessed Lady of the Sablon (French: Église Notre-Dame du Sablon, Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Zavelkerk) is a Roman Catholic church located in the Sablon/Zavel district, in the historic centre of Brussels, Belgium. It is dedicated to Our Lady of the Sablon.
Built in the 15th century, the church was patronised by the nobility and wealthy citizens of Brussels, and is characterised by its late Brabantine Gothic exterior and rich interior decoration including two Baroque chapels. Its neo-Gothic decorative elements date from the 19th century. The complex was designated a historic monument in 1936.
This was a beautiful church we visited while in Brussels. It was smaller than some others we had seen but still very nice.

Beautiful church, great gothic style. To highlight the beauty and luminosity of the stained glass windows.

Not the most impressive church but she has its own beauty. If you happen to pass by, stop by and check it out.

I was really impressed. I think it's best to be visited morning when sun finds its way through the stained glass windows.

Wonderful little church on the upper side of Petit Sablon. On weekends you have a fleet market just outside the church on a square surrounded by little bars, restaurants and chocolate makers.

Notre Dame du Sablon (free entry) is a 15th-century Catholic church located at Place du Grand Sablon that makes for a nice place to visit if you are planning to spend time in this area of Brussels. The church is a fine example of Brabatine Gothic architecture, considered one of the finest examples of its kind in all of Belgium. The exterior makes for nice viewing while the interior is very attractive with a high vaulted ceiling, endless stained glass windows that are delightful to view if light conditions are favourable. There is a nice pulpit, organ and two attractive Baroque chapels to complement the Gothic aesthetics of Notre Dame du Sablon. Overall, Notre Dame is a nice church to visit and can be conveniently viewed in 15-20 minutes, its worth including in your sightseeing plans if you enjoy seeing historic churches or are a fan of architecture.
