A well exhibitied museum where they work with lights and noises in a really good way. You can go into locomotives and carriages. They demonstrate how railways works and have developed since they were built in Belgium 1835. It's fun for the train lover and infrastructure nerd. Only thing that could be improved are lights on the signs which can be hard to read when the dramatic lights are on the exhibited items.

Very nice chronological overview of all things trains in Belgium with some top impressive and evocative displays of historical trains (think of the iconic steam locomotive Type 12 "Atlantic") but also lesser known stuff like train tickets, clocks, mailings,... For kids from 5 to 99! I would suggest using the train world app as a guide.

Fantastic place, you will need at least 4-5 hours to completely enjoy museum. I highly recommend to get a audio guide. Without audio guide it wouldn't be much beneficial. And you are given a discount coupon to car museum when you visit there.

One of the best museums in Brussels. Very interactive, full of interesting information presented in nice ways. And lots of trains! There's something for all ages and interests. Highly recommended.

One of the best museums within Brussels, really well thought through, safe, entertaining for all ages. It was magical to be able to step into some of the original trains which have been very well preserved and restored. A really great find! Parking next door was just €2 (for up to 4 hours) - allow for about 1h30 to 2h00 to go around the whole thing.

I was surprised how good this museum is. It's huge! Lots of interesting things both for kids and adults. This is a must-stop location for families in Brussels.

Impressive museum with some unique pieces like the wagons used by the Royal family. Great to spend about 1,5h. Nice bar as well to enjoy a real Belgian beer.

A friend and I got tickets for this place and were expecting something old and boring. To our surprise the building is new and spacious, the layout is really simple and shows the progression since the beginning and how the train changed belgium. Really worth a visit

A lot of trains from the steam machines up to modern fast ones. Many of them accessible to visitors, including the engine room'. Nice!!!

Excellent museum! There's so much to see and to experience, in the old station building and in 4 new halls. The visit took me 3 hours (I took my time but still didn't see everything). Do use the audioguide or the free app, it's great. I especially loved that you can enter a certain number of the old trains and locomotives in the exhibition, and the interactive game at the end where you can be the train driver. I went there again with 2 children (aged 4 and 7), and the museum offered a children's quest all through the exhibition, which was real fun for the eldest kid. Some parts of the exhibition frightened the 4 year old though, because of the theatrical staging with darkness and frightening lights and noises in some parts). He survived without nightmares, though. :) Just 1 negative remark: prices in the café are ridiculous. 3,5 euro for a cappuccino is simply too much, and certainly not family-friendly.

Nicely arranged locomotives and wagons along with extra items like uniforms, rails, and all kind of train-related things. Worthwhile visiting

The nicest train museum I've been to! They have a small suitcase with an interactive game in it that children can play while they visit different areas of the museum.

One of the most interesting museum to visit in Brussels. You can try a virtual drive of a train and you can experience it’s not easy at all.

A nice place with a variety of interesting exhibits of trains. Spent around 1.5 hours there just taking pictures and wandering around. You can even board some old carriage trains! There is a parking lot right next to the museum which just costs €1/hr (but don't forget to ask for a parking voucher when you purchase the tickets at the office). Great place to go and totally worth it!

Wow. As a Brussels resident I had heard once or twice about Train World but it was not a place top of mind. Now it is. Great expo, beautiful location, the kids had tons of fun with the luggage game (a treasure hunt to learn). Even Grandma had a great time specially at the end where she could nap on different seats of various high-speed trains.

Good experience and knowledge about how trains started back in the day. Would have been better if not too dark, you would be able to see the trains in more detail. A great day out as a family, wasn't busy at all which was a bonus. After the museum we had a late lunch at the restaurant there, food was great.

Very good experience. Must watch. Especially good for children. Please carry a good camera. I will recommend to take the audio guide which describes the history behind each model.

Great train museum, kids and I had a great time. Not to busy, lots of interactive exhibits. Download their app so you can get the audio tour in a few languages including EN. It had educational elements and lots of different exhibits from different times.
