Beautiful ortodoxian church. Do not be too touristy when coming inside because people there are quite religious and don't like foreigners to take too many photos. Be respectful.

A beautiful small church, with a small courtyard with oriental influences in its architecture and decorations. It is worth at least a couple of photos.

One of the most visited monastery in Bucharest by the foreign tourists. Taking photos is accepted. Being very small, the time of your visit should be optimised according to the number of visitors.

Amazing place, so beautiful and calm, like a small island of harmony in the middle of all the noise and vanity that splashes over the old town of Bucharest. Just sitting in the yard during the Sunday service I felt at peace, even though I'm not religious and I don't understand the language. The architecture of the church (from 1724) is exquisite, every detail is made with immense care. It is also preserved and restored where necessary very skillfully and cautiously. The spirit of the place is well kept.

- Biserica Stavropoleos was built in 1724 as a chapel for the nearby inn. It was founded by the Greek monk Joanikide. Around the building was placed in a blind arcades frescoes depicting saints. The antechamber has beautiful columns and Moorish arches. Inside is a beautiful courtyard of the today's monastery . Many residents consider it the most beautiful church in Bucharest.
