Ruins of Roman town, great museum, you can easily spend the whole day there. They also have a great souvenir shop, with selection of books, and Roman style souvenirs. Parts of the Roman ruins are also available outside of the museum, scattered around Obuda district. Walk and explore!

A gem of a museum. The ruins of the town are well preserved with lots of explanation panels. The museum is not large but well worth a visit due to the great presentation of the artefacts. The collection of altars and grave monuments is marvellous although they could use some information panels. During roman holidays there are often reenactors and market stalls. The museum is located near multiple tram and bus lines.

Horrible staff here. We pair full price, than they told us, that whole outside exhibition is closed, because it is winter and it could be slippery (it wasnt)

A really neat location that wasn't too far out of the way. I spent a couple of hours here looking at the ruins and artifacts, and found that it was laid out pretty well. My only complaint is minor: it would be nice to have some idea of a recommended route to walk through the exhibit. I mostly just meandered around, and feel like interesting things could easily be missed.

Remains of a whole Roman town to wander round. The reconstruction of the Painter's House is excellent. A small museum about the history of that part of the Roman Empire rather than the site itself. There is the remains of an amphitheatre across the railway track. Easy to reach on the suburban railway. Coffee poor and overpriced was the only negative.

You can reach Aquincum museum and ancient Roman citadel with the suburban train. If you plan this visit as one f the first, with the entrance ticket you have 3 free ticket for the Castle Museum, to the Municipal Gallery ant to the New Budapest Gallery. The Roman Ruin are very well preserved and valued. Special playground for kids.

A rather large area with many artifacts. Some of the outside looks like it was "repaired" within the past 50 years or so, but the carvings and artifacts here are well worth a visit. I didn't even know Hungary had Roman ruins...?!? Well worth a visit off the tourist path

Wonderful experience to be at a place with such an old history. The outdoor ruins of the ancient Roman city could benefit from a bit more explanation and interactive features.
