Visited 2017 December - one of the few cooler days last winter. View is amazing from either side of the bridge. Pleasent walk. A must visit when in Budapest. However the authorities can make more efforts to keep it clean and maintain. Noticed a guy etching name and a heart symbol using a pen and coin - policing is needed to keep sanity and not allow destroy historic structures.

Very nice bridge designed by the English engineer William Clark and built by the Scottish engineer Adam Clark(not related). The only reason it's not got 5 stars is due to the graffiti and general lack of maintenance. It also has become popular for attaching padlocks to it however there is not many places to do this so it would be good if the local council provided a permanent structure to allow this to be done in a better way. Overall, definitely worth a walk over!

One of the most famous bridges at the city of Budapest. Beautiful bridge with pretty nice and interesting architecture. The view of the Danube river is impressive, very nice spot for memorial photos. It has also beautiful lighting at the night hours.

We were lucky enough to cross the bridge right at the moment it started to light up! Amazing construction, really beautiful points of views on the banks and their illuminated building ! From Pest to Buda the bridge leads you to a nice funicular to go up the hills and walk to the Fisherman's bastion. The view up there is also great ! In a nutshell a very very nice place to admire sunset on Budapest and the buildings lighting up one by one !

I've been a few times in Budapest and a visit to this bridge is almost always on the schedule. I prefer to visit at night because with the lights on it's more beautiful. Also the views from both sides of the river (specially the parliament) are divine!

Such a beautiful bridge. Although Budapest is full of them. But obviously this one is more iconic. Have a stop halfway and watch the boats sail through the Danube River. Great photo opportunity here. Can be quite a nice romantic walk with the right person 😉. But being a solo traveler, obviously it's just me and my backpack!

A must visit attraction in Budapest. One cannot miss this architectural marvel with the intricate designs. Beautiful view in the night after the lights are switched on.

what can I say? it's a bridge! and it's a good bridge! it is sturdy and did not shake or wobble when we drove over it on the tour buss! if you had to cross the river, I would recommend this bridge because of safety alone! it also has nice sights from both sides of the river and on the river itself! the bridge has some cool lion statues but does not have plants growing on it which takes some points off aesthetics for me. the bridge also does not offer many activities other than walking and driving over it or cruising under it with a boat! the bridge does offer good photo opportunities since it is a large and impressive landmark that is many times bigger than the average human and makes the subjects viewing your vacation photos reflect on their mortality, place in the universe and importance next to a bridge which will outlive them.

Don’t miss the lights coming up during the sundown. It’s a beautiful experience. During season which is typically May onwards there are restaurants on both sides of the chain bridge on the Pest side that serve delicious food. A must visit. It’s also possible to walk on the bridge and enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube river

It's a beautiful bridge but you can't really appreciate it up close because it's just a bridge. You do get decent views of both sides of the city though while crossing it. Footpaths are also broad enough and separated from the road by a lot so it's safe and comfortable to walk across. Cross it at night when it (and the city) are all lit up as well.

We went both under and over this bridge. We took a river bus along the river to see the sights we is a really cheap way to travel. We the took trams across the bridge to travel between Pest and Buda & finally we walked across with the setting sun - the bridge looked like it was made from gold. With the carved lions it was a romantic walk with my husband that I will not forget.

Very beautiful artistic chain Bridge. It is one of the top 5 attraction of Budapest. Design of the bridge is similar to Tower of London bridge in London however this Bridge is small compared to it. This bridge look spectacular in evening when the lights on it are lit. There are pubs and coffee shop around. You can enjoy late night parties near it till you drop. Those who want peace can just sit beside the bank of the bridge and relax with the beer can.

Absolute must see whilst in Budapest. Most famous bridge with great sculptures and details. Next to the bridge there are several nice small places where you can have a drink and enjoy the view. You can cross the bridge by foot or by car. Especially beautiful at night when the whole brige stands out in lighting.

Beautiful looking bridge...and probably the most popular one as well in Budapest. Looks really good in the night once lit up. Has some lion statues on the pillars and the rest of it is pretty much a typical suspension bridge structure. The highlight of this bridge are the views of the river and most importantly the beautiful buildings on both sides of it which look amazing in the night. A pretty good spot for taking pictures with the bridge and also the historical buildings in the backdrop.

Budapest, Hungary, is a very nice historical city to be visited by the tourists from abroad. The prices of different items are the same in five-star hotel and in a far away village shop, as the prices are controlled at central level for the country. While in Budapest, try to have a ride on amphibious RiverBus specially for tourists. You may feel uneasy while the bus moves in the waves of the river Danube from the main city to an island, but you will not forget this ride for years to come.

Must visit in Budapest. Although it can get very windy sometimes. The bridge can get very crowded with vehicles. So best option is to take a walk through the bridge for amazing views of the castle and the river rather than take the bus. Don't forget to ride the trans which run beside the river in both sides of the river.
