The Casa Rosada (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈkasa roˈsaða], English: Pink House) is the executive mansion and office of the President of Argentina. The palatial mansion is known officially as Casa de Gobierno ("House of Government" or "Government House"). Normally, the President lives at the Quinta de Olivos, the official residence of the President of Argentina, which is located in Olivos, Greater Buenos Aires. The characteristic color of the Casa Rosada is baby pink, and is considered one of the most emblematic buildings in Buenos Aires. The building also houses a museum, which contains objects relating to former presidents of Argentina. It has been declared a National Historic Monument of Argentina.
Must see in Buenos Aires! Looks beautiful during the night as well!! Very scenic. Don't be discouraged if it rains. Inside there is museum for turists
We did not go inside but my rating is based on the current situation. Not only are the grounds being dug up at the front, the Plaza De Mayo is also completely blocked off and being renovated allnat once! This demonstrates the sheer lack of intelligence making both the front and back of the palace totally inaccessible and doing all the work SLOWLY at the same time instead of doing bit by bit. It looks terrible around this gorgeous building right now and it's hard to get any of the picturesque views and photos this location is known for. Obviously improvements are a good thing but to do it in this way is ridiculous. Unlikely we will be back here to witness this building and grounds in its former and future beauty. Sad times....
Beautiful architecture extraordinary clean and excellent spot to view while vacation in this beautiful country
Beautiful historic building. Don't forget the museum down the side street that shows the development of the area despite lacking English descriptions.
Spanish is such a tolerant, such a flexible language. All you have to do is hum what you want, and they are receptive.
