Floralis Genérica is a sculpture made of steel and aluminum located in Plaza de las Naciones Unidas, Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, Buenos Aires, a gift to the city by the Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano. Catalano once said that the flower "is a synthesis of all the flowers and, at the same time, a hope reborn every day at opening." It was created in 2002. The sculpture was designed to move, closing its petals in the evening and opening them in the morning.

Very nice sculpture, volume, forms. Big size in a flat greenery zone. Stand by it and close your eyes to feel its energy ! 6 months after I'm surprised it still vibrates so strong within me...
Doesn't matter if you go alone in an introspective stroll, or with friends to a Picknick, enjoy nature, soft air, and the power of humanity to comprehend and apply the resistance of materials and their mechanics by watching a huge metallic and resilient flower.
Nice place to take a walk or have picnic. The flower is beautiful and the park is kept clean. Not much to do on the park. If you enjoy running its a nice place to do so, but it has a lack of water dispensers and kioscos near by so you do have to remember to bring your own.
Great place to lay in the grass, put a song on and relax. The flower is really beautiful, straight up Instagram material.
Take your time and appreciate the park. The Flower is the main point but not the only one.
A great place to spend time with friends or family and have a nice time near the center of Buenos Aires. If you are in the city, it is a must see attraction. The monument is unique and has a special mechanism that allows the flower to open and close according to daylight. It is one of the most visited monuments in Argentina and for sure one of the most known by tourists in the city of Buenos Aires. It is worth to take a picture near it and have a nice time walking in Recoletas’ neighborhood or just spend some time next to it.
It was unexpected to be so amazed for this place! When I arrived I was already wondering why I haven't been there before. Buenos Aires is really charmful and this place increases its charm! I'm super happy to be part of those who visited, even knowing that millions went there before haha! Hope to go there again soon!
Beautiful park, they have several benches arounds the floris. Highlight of Buenos Aires so obviously must see while here! Convinetly located among other famous places as cemetery at Recoleta etc. Un gusto
