The plaza is currently undergoing a major renovation which basically has the entire plaza closed. There are no clear views of the pink house due to the construction fencing. Loks like it will be awhile before you will be able to stroll there again.

This was amazing. Too learn about the history in Argentina was life changing. You must visit Plaza de Mayo!

See visited her while on a bike tour in Buenos Aires. It’s a unique spot with a history that was very interesting to learn about. Definitely a must when in the city.

An interesting spot at the heart of government and the heart of the city itself. Admire the Casa Rosada, the office of the President, and see what political groups are gathering on the square. Often the scene of mass protests but common sense should dictate when to stay away.

It's a really interesting place. There you will find the Pink House and a lot of stories. It's in the centre and close to lots of other attractions. Must visit when in Buenos Aires.

Plenty of history here. The story about the mothers who walk around the plaza de mayo on mondays (i think) is a sad story but makes the plaza feel more important to me when i visited. Its a shame young anarchists and anarco-communists graffiti on the buildings and write rude slurs on the banks and riot barriers

A real tourist trap in town 😂 tourists shops, tourists food, tourists alike. I guess some people must enjoy it though.
Alex Pepemar. 26, 2018
La Casa Rosada is beautiful and has a tour you can inquire about. The plaza itself it’s a culturally rich location since it’s where the Madres de Plaza de Mayo started walking to protest the dictatorship.
Ana Laura Santopintoabr. 22, 2018
Looks like it should be a really nice square, too bad there were heavy reconstructions underway when I was there. If you want to see 'las madres de plaza de Mayo', make sure to be here on Thursdays at 15:30

I rate it 4 stars because it is interesting to see. Unfortunately they were doing construction to the plaza the whole week I was in town, cant wait to see it again when it's done. There are some small trinket shops around here, and within walking distance to Florida street from here.

Landmark of Buenos Aires. Definitely go there during the day and during the night. At both times look just magical.

This is a really interesting place to visit - historical stuff happened here, plus it's just interesting to visit. Do go to the museum down to the right of the palace as well as the cathedral and stuff...

A must see in Buenos Aires. Schedule a tour in advance for the Casa Rosada, and definitely enter the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Freya Kridlejun. 13, 2018
It was on the way to the market and it hosted a protest that seemed more like a fair the day before, but it made for a nice stopping point to figure out where to go next. It has a nice view of the Pink House (la Casa Rosada).
Louis Babinojun. 12, 2018
I came to see this square because of its historical significance. Unfortunately the square was closed for refurbishment and was surrounded by barriers. It was a busy area and there were police directing pedestrians. However the surrounding buildings like Casa Rosada are interesting.

A beautiful park in the centre of Buenos Aires, the heart of the town and political life. Since the very beginning this square witnessed debates on different topics that decided the future of the entire country. In the place it is possible to visit the old Cathedral, the Cabildo, the ‘Pink House,’ and near it the legislature of Buenos Aires. Unfortunately it has a fence not to let striker approach the pink house or create bugger problems. Near the square it is possible to find places to eat, walk, visit or take a rest.
Carlos Terenzijul. 27, 2018
Well it is one of the most important Plazas in Buenos Aires, where you can find La Casa Rosada, that is like the HQ of the President. It is very very beautiful, one of the "must go" places in Buenos Aires.
Carlos Giraldojul. 23, 2018
Is one of the most emblematic places of BA. So intense. You shouldn't miss it if you visit Buenos Aires. Sadly now is all sorrounded with fences.
