A must-see market on sundays, but can feel too crowded in the summer. Some really nice products, but prices on vintage imports such as cameras are extreme in comparison to other countries. Many nice places nearby to take a break from the madness.

Free Tango shows on most Sunday nights, delicious ice cream around the corner, small historically rich "villa/residence" you can walk into (it's like a tiny street with multiple homes and shops-Galería El Solar de French), open air market on Sundays. Beautiful spot you can relax and listen to the birds.

They have many free performances and also a free milonga on a Sunday night when everyone can just go and dance tango in the open air. Very nice atmosphere. Just watch out for the birds in the trees who might provide additional decoration for your Tango attire.

Cool open marketplace, some interesting handmade crafts and some mass produced junk. Definitely worth a wander!

Great square sorrounded by restaurants, some open everyday. Good for tourists and locals to meet.

Staying near the Plaza Dorrego is not a bad idea. You will be in a hub of local activity bustling with school kids, shop owners, old people just hanging out, and lots of antique vendors. There are cafes all around the Plaza and dozens within easy walking distance. And don't forget El Zanjon museum just two or three blocks away. There, you will get a sense of the deep history of this part of town.

Very lovely little square away from the hustle and bustle. In a beautiful neighbourhood with cobblestone streets and old houses. Art galleries, antique shops and cafés. Hotels and restaurants. One for the establishments has frequent tango dancers performing to attract and entertain the crowd.

A lovely shady park in the middle of this historic part of the city. Occasionally their are tango dancers displaying their skills. There are lovely old arty shops. Sunday market is great.

A lovely and quaint area where there are Tango demonstrations, open air seating for a libation and viewing, and local artisans displaying their affordable creations.

Lots of nice things on show in this market. Great if you want to come and take lots of photos. It does get very busy as it approaches lunchtime, so would recommend arriving early. Nice little place, make sure you stop by!

Love the tango dancing at night and cafes during the day. Most visitors come here only for the weekend street market but it is actually much nicer to visit on other days. Great area to walk around and then have a coffee or drink in the Plaza !!!

We had a great time at the plaza. Had a snack that was okay and sat watching Tango dancing. Took some nice pics and all we had to pay was a small donation.
